I've put a lot of thought into this decision, and I ultimately feel that it has to come to this. The fact is I'm not in any situation to support what I do. Or rather, what I can do. My attempts at making videos recently have been less than stellar, and often ended up failing and why? Because the first reason, my computer absolutely sucks right now. To tell you the truth, making vids on my computer is a hit-and-miss affair. MOST of the time I capture something, there are lag parts because even VirtualDub can't run at full-pace on my machine. This is a very long and frustrating time for me, imagine having to capture a single video over 5 times because of that. Now imagine that that vid is Control - 4:06.

The second reason is simple. In my own opinion I'm progressing too far too fast. It's sort of a psychological thing with me, if I influence things too fast I get scared... Why? I dunno! Fear of others probably, fear of not always being up to par... Fear of screwing up. Yes, I realize that this whole game is all about the competition, about being the best, but... That's not me. Not right now.

So here it is, my letter of resignation of sorts for the time being. That is to say, my (temporary) removal from both the GE and PD rankings. However that is not to say that this is the last you're going to see of Michael Kirkness. I will still be around whenever I can and everything, however the first thing that I have to do is find a job. :D

Some day when I'm ready, I'll return. Then I will pick up right where I left off.

PS: Alex Anderson and Ryan White... You two better pwn this game hard, I want some tough competition for when I come back. ;)

Well Mouse I think you've come to a good decision.
I have a program that really helps if you computer is laggy.(If thats even the case)

It works very well.
Sometimes I feel the way you do, with like wanting to quit, I usually just take like 3 week breaks, and then im fine but yea I think its a good decision on your part for 'quiting' for some time.

I often redo vids if there's the slightest thing I don't like about them.

If you want to get banned, just tape over the 56s and any other untieds you're going to claim.

At the sound of it, You're having similar capture problems as i do. Takes like 10 tries for each vid and i have to restart comp between each try. Sucks.

You could send your tapes to Alex or something.

And banning yourself is not a good solution either, not even temporarily, lack of proof is really not an issue if poeple know that you have the stuff taped and it will be sent/captured sometime. Just not too long time though.

Dude, send your vids to me. I've never ONCE had a problem with a vid and I think my new vids are top of the line (or damn close). UTILIZE MY RETIRED-NESS :(

Don't get banned.  Many untieds and other WRs have been on for a long time, some forever with no proof yet.

Just leave your times here.  Don't change them.  Don't play.  Send the recent stuff to Alex.  etc.

Yea, don't worry about me pwning the ranks.  I will, when things get better.

There's no reason to be banned for this, yet.  When necessary, you'll be given a proof call to meet, and if you can't meet that, you'll be banned.  You don't necessarily need vids for your times the same day/week you get them.. just look at Bryan.  Make a big compilation tape (being CAREFUL not to tape over things) and send it to a proof mod who will make the vids for you.  This solves all the problems you can have with making your own vids, and keeps the right times on the ranks, so we don't have to explain, "Well, the ranks say this, but the real record is this".
