Got the idea from Brandon. Basicly just don't use the strafe buttons.

I've done this before. :D  And believe me when I say that it's possible to get ALL the cheats without strafing. I think that's the way they were designed anyways.

i think my silo 00 time was without strafing, because i sucked more back then than i do now.  btw penis league was the only good idea ever outside of the main rankings.

I discovered the strafe after getting every cheat and even speed running some months.
I remember for example a Archives 00 1.17 time that i did with a longer strat (going through the double door at the left of natalya s room) and that i considered to be maxed, lol

Statue - a tough cheat indeed for someone new to the game without strafing available.  I spent a whole day on that.

Me too, im pretty sure i got the cheat without strafing on my game(like 3:14 or something), and my friend was struggleing on his game to earn the cheat too, so i tryed many times, before trying/figureing out strafing.:lol

I got 3.14 too ;)  

I also played Archives for 2 days to get a 1.19.  And then another day for a 1.18, lol!  I still played the same way back then, just at a different standard ;)  


My real trip into the elite was with Facility though.  I watched my friends brother get 1.45, and was PISSED, as i still had 13 minutes.  After a few days work, i got a 1.53.  Then a 1.37.  Then...within a week, was down to 1.22.  I continued to hack it apart to sub-1.10 in the next few months, i think the guy had long given up chase by then.  If he was to see my 0.59 he'd drool :D  



However....the no strafing elite wouldnt serve me well.  I played Depot A LOT this way, and have 39.  37 is very good Henrik......

wait maybe this league should be called play the game for the first time where no one knows how to strafe league. then after that, we can make up take forever league where you see how long it takes to end the mission.  that meens you have to act like a super spy and snipe people and stop and shoot instead of run and gun. ,,,,  man my mind is superior to think up of these league.

anyone try a kills league?  I once put on lasers and got the infinte guards on facility.  I taped Z down, came back 3 hours later and had 5200+ kills I think. :evil :evil :evil :evil

thank you, adam.  that is the single most intelligent post i have heard in a while.  i was going to say something similar and then i made fun of another topic instead.  i was actually going to suggest a 'retard' league, then tell brandon he'd be the champion; but i figured that'd be a little too mean.  go browns.

The only thing i can think of, is if someone forgets a word in a post, or there post doesn't quite make sense. Lots of people do that though.

Wtf Matabird, your last post was one of the most retarded posts I've ever read in these boards. Brandon was clearly joking when he said that, he's the kind of guy that likes to have fun in here. If everyone were like him, the boards would be a much better place. Besides, almost everyone in this topic suggested a "new" league, but for some reason you randomly chose Brandon as your target and started to attack him. i just feel the goldeneye community as a whole has really plummeted, and you guys trying to revive it with these pointless leagues just makes it more evident.  your forefathers would frown upon this, hell i technically am and i do.  ltk league sure, turbo league perhaps..but when it gets to cheat league, no strafe league, gold pp7 with your mom playing league.. you're just really trying to milk this game for competition that doesn't exist.  there's nothing wrong with playing the game for fun, but when you turn every little option of it into a @#%$ contest, it is just stupid. :o

Well in my case, im not trying to revive anything, i play certain leagues becuase i have fun with them. If i didn't have fun doing them, example turbo league(its just not my thing), i wouldn't play them.
Also i like to try and keep my "skill" up, so when i get totally bored with normal ge, or im just burnt out on the normal levels(pissed off at them, etc.), i have something fun i can play to keep me playing good.

I agree,that's what im doing, i assume other people too, if they wern't haveing fun playing there league of choice or just wanted a challenge, they wouldn't bother.

Also friends like to have fun playing aganist each other. Not everyone plays to pwn and own each other. You and adam are tight, and try and match each other in ge, right? Its friendly im guessing.
So just because its not the type of things you and your homey would do, doesn't mean somebody else and there friends shouldn't bother.

What I mean was going through and actually completing all the objectives. The archives is a frickin bitch on this I'll tell you that. Best I can do is 1:31 (like five minutes ago).

And I'm sure Wouter himself couldn't have come up with it. Many other people who don't come here or even know of this site must have thought of it by now, preceeding both of us even.

settings in filename. I don't show them in the video.

I did the Runways for fun, wanted to get boosts throughout the whole run pretty much. as you can see, I called it "Boosting Frenzy".

I did the Dams just to get a 53, not yet having succeeded for real. Used 53% Enemy accuracy too minimize backboosted but still increase boosts.

Obviously I completed the agent objectives for both.
I didn't make a topic for these, so obviously you wouldn't have known about these since pretty much nobody getfiles me to see whatever I got made (there's plenty of videos I make that I just know a lot of people don't know they exist).

first off, darkslayer,, i dont even know who the hell you are, so you can just chill out.  brandon asked me and greg why was there hate and i explained why i dislike him sometimes. so i dont know what your fing  problem is so just shut the @#%$ up.  And yes brandon me and greg like to chill and compete with one another cause we are "homies".  but it is true of what he said,  you dont have to make every new thrill to the game such a big competition.  yes LTK and turbo are fine but all the rest are just a bunch of waste of time i think.  instead of making every new league you can think up and making a topic for it.  why dont you start a new topic called Scenerios or some @#%$ like that. and put all the wonderous ways to play in it. so this kind of @#%$ doesnt happen.  plus one handed gay league and no strafe league they arent really a league cause there are about 5 people in it.  they are just another way to play the game another scenerio.  i say you guys should just stick to you roots and play how you know how to play.  yeah it fun to put every cheat once in a while and play, but makeing a big   league out of every little thing is pointless. and clearly creates some controversy.

You guys seem to be stuck on big leagues and competition, nobody who is playing these leagues or trying them out, is doing it for that reason, but to simpley to have fun with them.

Is this GE forum like this all the time? Other forums on the web have a chilled atmosphere and people are friendly, seems like ppl get ripped apart for the slightest of things on here.

posting times doesn't necessairily mean it's for competition. for instance, whenever I post something, one can expect a video of it, which they might want to see. it can be interesting to others without them feeling the need to beat the times or even attempt playing by the league in question.
