I bought a DVD-RW player today.  Not specifically for this purpose at all.....but if i can use it (and bin the VCR :D  ) that would be good.....

Now, i no longer have the "three-pronged switchblock" (PAL players should understand), which had TV, GAME, AERIAL on it.  Dont ask why.  So how does one get ot connected for taping.  The cables i have are:


The one pin from teh N64 of course ;)  
A SCART between the DVD and TV.
A second cable (non-scart) between them also.
The antenna, coming out of the DVD.



Dunno how to complete a loop with what i have.  Help is needed, please ;)

I use a DVD recorder to record my GE runs, was able to record NTSC in colour that way too. Plug the scart in the DVD player and start playing or something, ah I feel confused at the moment, can't be of any help, sorry.

where does the N64 pin go?  And the antenna?  This will hopefully be sweet :D

N64 pin? um, like um, dunno, I mean there's that thing you plug in one of those things in the wall or something, then just that scart. Antenna, I don't think you need an antenna, that's just for watching TV and if you're not using scart then just like hmm... dunno :\

EDIT: Damn I'm no good at explaining, can be different with different recorders too and ah crap :rolleyes

Yep, i'm scartin'......

The antenna is going to be in there, so that i can have a complete assembly for TV watching and GE playing.  Without having to adjust the cables every time.  I know its possible....



I suepect that where the antenna normally goes, i can replace with the N64 for console-only setup.  Might be annoying to tune, though.

As if it isn't straight-forward to hook everything up. You can always just try all possible setups with common sense.

It works now.  Played about 2 hours of control agent on there, nothing but plssy shlt thus far :b
