That's no strange idea and I don't think it's used. In theory you can kill hostage holders with headshots in one single bullet. Of course, that's much harder, but not that much. And it's worth. I'm no good player, but I just spent one hour w/o auto aiming and I @#%$ up one run wich would have been a 1:16 at least for sure (my "best failed" is 1:17 (once) I got some 1:18 ) . Even Wouter's 1:14 can be lowed, I'm sure about that, if you're not, check his vid, he could win at least two secondes, on the 2 first hostages.
Just spend some time, once you don't kill the 1st hostage with an headshot anymore you'll be convinced
