We started this season with a very special Koth, titled *guess that sound*!
And here's how it goes! Read carefully everyone (this is an unique KotH)
This KotH will have 15 questions. Each question, you will be given a link that leads to a mp3 (small size!). You will hear a sound, and you got 2 minutes to answer in IM to me, what you hear.
first I'll tell you about the sounds, then about the answers. Finally, about counting points.
SOUNDS: the sounds are always an ACTION being performed. That means, that if you think you hear a door, you should not IM "door" to me, but "opening a door". I've recorded them myself with a professional microphone (so the recording will be high quality)
ANSWERS: in the 2 minutes time you have (IM), you can answer as many times as you want! And not just your last answer counts, but they all do! Again, tell me the action you hear being performed.
POINTS: you will be given 1 point for a correct answer, and 2 points for a correct LAST answer that you gave.
That means, you make sure you either copy your best answer before time runs out, or you say your best answer last! You have infinite answered to go for 1 point, but one shot at 2 points (your favorite answer!)

Just a quick notice, since AIM was totally fucked today we used IRC, and I will use that for my KotH tomorrow as well IF AIM isn't fixed by then.

We used IRC indeed for last night's KOTH and that wasn't easy!
I had to download mirc to host KOTH and I wasn't used to it so it was pretty difficult. I had to press Ctrl+K, then type 4 before every message to post in red and starting my message with a number was making the color code glitching. Moreover, the blanks didn't appear on all screens making some questions difficult to read so we had to use a special character for blanks!
It looks like it's the same on ezboard so... *** = blanks.
Despite these problems, we managed to have a fun KOTH (well I hope so) with 6 people playing which is better than I expected given the circumstances.
The theme of my KOTH was... Guess the Eliter!
Rules : 20 questions, answers with private messages.
About 30 seconds for each question although I didn't always time it well.
Using the-elite.net was strictly forbidden for the whole koth!
QUESTIONS: most of these were real names of eliters with some letters missing, you had to guess the eliter. Some questions were different : anagrams, simple questions, find who said a given sentence...
ANSWERS: in the 30 seconds you have, you can answer as many times as you want! Except for questions 9 and 20 were only 1 guess was allowed.
POINTS: players were given 1 point for a correct answer, 2 points for the fastest correct answer.

Tonight's KotH was "What am I", a concept we have never tried before!
To be honest it was total choas for the first 20 minutes, but after that it rolled pretty smooth! (perfect phrase to be din mor'ed)
Explanation of the KotH:
It's a game where every question, I think of something and you have to guess what it is. It can be anything!
You can exclude possibilities by asking questions to me that I will only answer with "NO" of "YES". So for instance, if you ask me "what is your age?" I will have to answer you with "XXX" and you miss your chance!
And here is how we will execute this all:
Everyone gets a number. And you will ask your question to me, ONLY if its your turn!
IMPORTANT:
You can use your turn to exclude possibilities (are you a female?) or you can ask for the answer (are you Britney Spears?)
To prevent people from guessing the answer every time it is their turn and let other people do the "normal questions", there is a unique way of counting your points.
The person who guessed the right answer, gets as many points as "normal questions" he has asked.

Because i didn't see the point as when either me or Val were doing KOTH, there was just constant bitching about it so i couldn't be bothered hence the reason me and Val decided not to do anymore KOTHs this year. Other factors were also taken into account.
