I'm watching NFL of course. Jacksonville vs Pittsburgh! 2:57 left in the 4th quarter, or 40 minutes of airtime in other words.

Studio Ghibli film, made in 1988 but only available recently over here, about two Japanese WWII orphans trying to survive in mid-war Japan. The film was made as a paean by the boy who it is based on, who felt guilty and responsible for what became of his sister during the course of the war.

Easly the most soul-destroying film i've ever seen. If you're not bawling your eyes out, or at the very least insanely depressed, at the end of this film then there's something quite deeply wrong with you.

But seriously, some of the artwork and imagery in that film is so beautiful. Especially when everyone returns home at the end of the war and you see Setsuko playing on her own in front of the shelter. Heartbreaking.

I won't bore you, but I could literally go on for hours about how that film is a pure work of art.

when you take yourself back to 1992 or 1993, (can't remember when it came out) the first one actually did have a lot of pretty good effects! and you could almost get into the story, though i always had a hard time taking this movie/story seriously... i guess the first one had a lot of cool things in it, but the writing in the 2nd and 3rd were pretty weak, imo. oh well basically a decent popcorn trilogy. and i really hope that they decide against making the 4th, which has been kicked around for a couple of years now. please, dinosaurs put into movies this way simply aren't as interesting anymore due to movies like The Lord Of The Rings, The Chronicles Of Narnia, King Kong (remake) and Harry Potter, imo

Any other football fans annoyed this is on fucking Fox with 2 no-name commentators? It's the college football national championship! I've been looking forward to this game for a month, now I'm disappointed.

Last Oklahoma possession, they had it on Florida's 2-yard line and 2nd down, but somehow these guys thought it was 3rd. Florida got a stop on 2nd down, then another on 3rd, and they thought it was 4th down and started yelling about what a huge 4th down stop it was. Then Oklahoma lined up for the real 4th down and they finally realized they had been wrong...retards.
