Anberlin-Cities... probably one of the most epic tales of tragedy and hope with some of the hookiest and rockiest songs that i have ever listend to. this album is definitely in my top 3!
Becoming the Archetype-Terminate Damnation... simply epic metal! the quiet moments so brilliantly lead into some of the hardest and most powerful technical metal ever created!
Jeremy Camp-Beyond Measure... cries out to God in such an honest and heart-wrenching way. one of the truest and most talented hearts ever to grace any music genre.
Sepultura-Chaos A.D.... one of the first bands (and albums) to perfect thrash/metal! these Brazillians, in their prime, were some of the hardest and most talented metal artists ever!
Clash-The Essential Collection... purists might stone me, but i am a fan of this (2-disc) compilation. not much to say that hasn't already been said about the Clash...
Cardigans-Long Gone Before Daylight... im a sucker for Nina Persson and her cuddly voice! one of my favorite bands. this album has a certain relaxed brutality about it that i enjoy again and again...
The Lord of the Rings: The Complete Collection-(all 3 pieces are considered 1 by me) this i hands down the greatest score in the history of cinema and can easily take you to Middle Earth among other places.
Emiliana Torrini-Me and Armani... one of the newer albums on my list. Emiliana has really settled into near flawlessness with her third outing. try listening to this album and NOT be cheered up by her curiously cute and etheral voice...
Mat Kearney-Nothing Left to Lose... ha, i was hoping for a new album sometime, but i suppose honesty and purity aren't delivered in such ways too often, so i will continue waiting on you, Mat Kearney. catchy, honest, emotional and life reflecting lyrics make for another top 5 album on my list.
Lecrae-Rebel... this is the greatest rap album i have ever heard. PERIOD!
Enya-Shepherd Moons... i debated on whether or not Enya would make it... and i couldnt leave her out. another album that can simply move you into other realms of joy and reality!
Depeche Mode-Violator... any band that has come up in the past 20 years that has tried to do anything remotely electronic owes everything to these pioneers of goth/electronic pop.
Birthday Massacre-Walking With Strangers... really hits the dark side of what goth should be, imo. rocks out wonderfully and can really lead you into an interesting look into Chibi's (lead singer) mind. for such a young band, these lyrics will surprise you...
Shiny Toy Guns-We are Pilots... this album hits every musical desire that i have! rocks out, electronically blissful, beautiful voices (both Chad and Cara) and will have you wondering why there arent more bands like STG.
Sigur Ros- ( )... one listen and you will understand the world that only Sigur Ros can occupy.
