Title: **The-Elite Dance Battle Cycle 1** SIGN UP NOW! Late Feb Start
Post by: RWG on February 06, 2009, 12:56:00 am: This is a preliminary topic to make all aware that we are planning on running an elite dance battle. For those who don't know what a dance battle is, view this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLw35PRj560 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLw35PRj560) and it's responses.

We won't be running one quite as elaborate as this. Our intention is to have a few people sign up (the more the merrier!) and play it out American Idol or America's Best Dance Crew style. Dances will be solos (though you could have friends, girls or eliter cameos in it I suppose, but only 1 competitor per dance.) I will be making a youtube account (something named along the lines of EliteDanceBattle) where everyone will have access to upload their videos for the week, alas every week will be a new battle!

The format will be such:

Week X: (Theme) (Number [1 or 2, depending on size] of people eliminated)
Eliminations will be determined by votes (by other eliters)
Some possibility of an "immunity challenge" such as most youtube views gets immunity for that week.

I hope that we can get enough interest in order to execute the battle. Keep in mind you in no sense need to treat this as a serious dance battle. Anyone can participate and it will be great fun if we have a few people who aren't great dancers.

Sign up if you are interested. This is in it's very preliminary stages so any ideas, concerns or issues are welcome to be brought up here.

This is indeed a gaming community, but I've never heard you whine about general chat covered with NFL discussion, betting, predictions, statistics, results etc. etc, which are clearly not related to gaming whatsoever. This isn't any different.

I guess dancing is just too much for the 'oh so serious'-community here.
