Congrats Wheat! What do you plan on spending the money on? You could go on a great Mediterranean cruise for under $10000 and some Caribbean ones are under $2000. You could go almost anywhere in the world with those $17000!

sorry youse The only suckout I remember was 44>TT I really wanted to fold pf but too much in the pot obv but that was maybe 1/4 of my stack (though obviously winning that pot meant I didn't have to push bot). I went 3/3 on races as well (though I needed all of those) and didn't suffer any major suckouts. JJ>AQ QT>77 (and J5) and TT>KQ at the final table entering as the short stack. I can't find the HH to give it a bigger look though. If there was a 4th race it was early in the tournament and not for a decent part of my stack.
I folded AK pf correctly twice in the top 100 of that tournament as well which in that kind of structure and the M everyone had at that stage most tourney players would call me a fish for doing so but a lot of guys in $10 donkaments pretty much tell you they've got a big pair.
Yeah still a lot of luck having to win those races+having a bunch of 80-90% hands hold up post flop (and avoiding a few runner runners) but it was a solid score for me and I'm glad I could share my positive news with everybody--it has been awhile since I've had that to share. I hope you guys start winning those amounts in a day so I can congratulate all of you!

nice placing wheat. 17k for a 10$ tournament is sick. How long did that take with 27000? thats crazy man...either way sick for 17k...damn man my biggest win was 1st 7200 on UB in the 100 with all the pro's. 17k is nice! You're right with the AK in a 10$ tournament, depending on your chip stack to others though I would imagined you'd have to call. Either way you have to win races late which you did 3/3 all in pre and thus taking 2nd=).
Nice job..stars is a tough site because they have the most players entering those damn tournaments. It's really a crap shoot but the payout if you place high is ridic. Nice job man
