Two interesting theories go like this;
-If you have an idea, image, or are constantly seeing something which you want or feel you can get, you will subconsciously if not consciously take steps to go towards it.
-Anything is possible. Any human adult, barring extreme oppression and mental disability can do anything.
Working these two together, we can see that probably we all have a dream idea of something we would like to do in life, and that it is possible for us if we take the right steps. At the very least we can try hard to achieve this ideal life.
I think it will be good practice if we all take a moment to describe our ideal life which can still be possible for us. I know most professional athletes start well before 18 years old, and all of us are too old to start taking up a sport and learn it well enough to play in the NFL or NHL, but I'm sure we still have crazy, amazing aspirations in the back of our minds.
If you could start living towards your ideal life today, what would this ideal life be? What would you want in it? What would you want to do? Which type of people would you want to be around? What would your job be? What kind of status would you have? Would you have a family? What would your morals and virtues be? What would your wife/husband/partner(s) be like? What is your ideal life?

My ideal life would be one lived with eyes unclouded by hate.
At the end of my life, i would fall like flowers do, and die a glorious death.

My ideal life, apart from some totally unbelievable life in which i played for Liverpool FC would be quite idealic. I would have a loving wife (pretty, 7/10), and two fucking sweet kids, both boys if possible. I would go from job to job but mostly in construction development, eventually buying a pub on the outskirts of London at the age of 45-50. I will cheat on my wife around 8 times with fucking stunners but will never be caught, I will stop by the time i buy the pub. Finally I will spend my retirement years mowing the lawn and gently fucking my well aged wife, I will die on July 1st 2063, the day before my 73rd Birthday.

When I start thinking about it, I feel bad. I have some ideas but not like "oh this is what I'm going for!".. I'm certainly going to travel a lot, do crazy stuff with my money, but just thinking about what I'm going to be in 20 or 30 makes me feel bad, it's like.. I better enjoy every moment in my life until I get 40 than thinking about it.

My ideal life would be to make millions while traveling the country working for the Green Bay Packers; someday going to and winning a Superbowl with them. During my retirement, I'd like to go see Titanic personally.

I am hard pressed to determine whether I would want to be involved in pro sports or in Hollywood entertainment, either way, I would like to be a famous person. It would be hard for me to say I would rather be a music performer than a pro sports coach, but I really think at this point in my life I would.
Alright, so I'd like to be famous. Famous enough that most people in America and Canada would recognize my name and face. Probably being a performer like Michael Buble, John Mayer or John Legend... not too much of a superstar, but a well respected famous person who has a lot of success and importance. It is possible that with my outrageous and unique personality, I wouldn't end up being low key, rather I would be a huge tabloid magnet. That's cool, since I like attention and have never cared much for things like privacy.
Why famous? Of course to get a famous wife! I don't think there is anything that the general public wants more than to tap that hottie in the most recent Maxim shoot. Imagine how awesome it would being the guy who gets to do it. That being said, I don't want a tramp whore, but rather I'd like my wife to have some specific virtues. I'd like her to have good family values, a stronger Christian faith than me which would help me find the way through her, for her to be a rational person who doesn't mind taking criticism, and most importantly to be a girl who loves having fun without all the high living of Hollywood; someone who can sit on our private beach wherever for a week and enjoy it as much as the biggest event in L.A. Having self awareness, good fashion sense and a knowledge of the world would be nice too. Particularly the fashion, I couldn't stand going out with a girl wearing ugly, unclassy shit.
Specific fun things I'd like would be a whole fleet of cars. A new Cadillac DTS, Lincoln Town Car, Cadillac Escalade EXT, Maserati Quattroporte, 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442, my 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood and a few decent cars I can actually drive around while being under the radar like a Buick Allure, Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Suburban. I'd like a big house of which I can have the whole family over for Christmas. I'd like a cottage or beach house, but a beach is a must.
I wouldn't be able to live without sports. When I get kids I would definitely enjoy coaching them in hockey if I had the time. Hopefully by then I would be old and touring rarely so I would have the time. Perhaps as they got older I would coach a Junior A team and be a legitimate hockey person as well. Seasons tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs would be a must by that point and being a famous person, it might even be cool if they wanted me to broadcast the games. Well I'd definitely want to be a famous actor, starring in and eventually writing/producing/directing movies. I would try to implement Christian morals into movies I was involved in the production of, but not in the cheesy way that is seen with a lot of Christian films these days. I would love a hot, faithful Christian wife to support me in this and perhaps we would have children. Like Goose said I would also stay very interested in sports, perhaps broadcasting certain events or going on talk shows.

I'm pretty close to mine so far. I want to not have a real job ever and to live as minimally as I can (obv need net access/TV/etc etc). Then retire and do whatever the hell I want. Society will hate my life but you can do whatever the hell you want so... The only thing I have against me is that I have no real goals at the moment that I want to go achieve so I'm not really motivated to go after something like that.

Wow a decent topic by Ryan, I'm sure you do have plenty but recently with the topics i've read its been disturbing/ non constructive. I digress yet again.
The Ideal life would be a sussessful architect or future designer of where the world needs to go. (transportation, housing, electricity, solar, golf course design and the likes). I could go on but the idea of something like this tweaks by bells. I love what Adam does in school as designing and drawing different pieces and then putting it on a nice program. I wish I could do this. I did alot of tech drawing in high school and then some sci tech(which was awesome, like was able to make objects operate like say traffic lights)
Including this said, I hope one day the elite can make a sick game and incorporate alot of good ideas from old games and also incorporate new ideas to add to the playablity of FPS or whatever that game of choice ends up being. I hope to be a part of that somewhere in the making. I see alot of talent here and their are people who keep this place running/ up to date and I admire what they ALL do. All of this site, or new site, once a game is made- would be on a much bigger scale with a game produced/people swarming the game/forums/videos/online interactment etc. I think that would be pretty neat...
I also have dreams to build a sick house ( with all the gadgets of a 2020 or beyond house) and have HD cameras set up with live 24/7 gaming feed, or whatever feed. I know it would be reality and very in everyones face type deal, but I think it would be something cool to do for say 5 years or something. Especially if you could get a good chunk of people to feel the same way and be motivated, I'm sure we could all actually learn what others do with what each other likes to do and does as well as see how others compete/ play for WR in any game. The HD part of cameras really is where I think it will capture people, the technology is old but no one really has a site with live 24/7 gaming feed with 1080p HD. (Or is there?) Anyways the room(in part of the house) more or less like a small theather, (bigger then the ones you see on cribs though) would have anywhere from 5-8 HD cameras on 5-8 1080p HD TV's. I would suggest HD Tv's as well but I know with more resolution and attention to detail it would be hard to obtain WR times. (From what I read and have been told anyway). Every TV would have its own surround sound 5.1 hooked up and feed directly to sound for that specific HD camera. If someone would like to take music they like and convert it over, im sure we could work on that for ya. Anyways I could go on but this is just one idea.
I have other dreams but this is something to read/think about for now. Oh yeah my bedroom would be on the opposite side from ryan...haha just kidding bud.

my ideal life would be playing in a band with a major record label, in a well established band.

a few things;
Movie Director - getting into this is hardcore, but if possible and finding a good crew of actors, with a bit of money and luck could be the no.1 life in my opinion.
Architect - this is the road i am travelling now and its full of potential. my goal is to become successful enough to design buildings, nice ones, and all over the world.
Musician - less likely now, but i still enjoy playing / writing music.
whatever i end up doing, i still want at least an hour a day to spend at the skatepark

Filmhistorian or a Filmcritic. Director is also an alternative, but as Luke stated, it's extremely hard to become one.
