As many of you may know, we're playing a chat version of this quite often lately. Many people have expressed interest in a forum version (previous Elite forum game here (http://elite.speedrunwiki.com/forum/index.php?topic=15555.0)) so I'm going to try to get one going.
My goal is 25-30 players in a Vanilla+ game. Vanilla+ means additional roles other than just Villager/Wolf/Seer. Obviously I won't know which roles or how to balance it until we have a solid number to go off of, but some potential roles would be Angel, Roleblocker, Vigilante, Serial Killer, Miller, others that I forget. To avoid some mishaps from our last forum game, I'm going to limit signups to people who have played previously either on the forum or in chat and have not caused problems (aka: no stupid karters). We shouldn't have any trouble getting enough players and good participation from the chat game regulars.
I also will need some help modding this game. I've reached out to a few people about this already, but if they'd rather play that's fine too. The minimum in assistance I'll need is someone around on Euro time (aka, when I'm not here) and someone around to help open/close/process night actions at the same time as me. Please let me know if you're interested in either of those tasks, as this will be pretty hard to pull off alone. Shep has said he'll help me with balancing the game and some minor tasks since he won't have time to play or fully mod.
I'm shooting for a start date sometime after New Years (Monday January 2nd?). Days will be 16 hours long, nights will be 8 hours long for a 24 hour day/night cycle. Wolves will have 24 hour chat likely in a secret subforum on these boards. Early thoughts are that day will start at 8am EST and end at 12am EST as that works out well for my schedule as far as opening/closing the thread and processing night actions. Saturday-Sunday will be counted as 1 day for people who are busy on weekends (thread will open Saturday morning and not close until Sunday night)
Signup in this thread and spread the word around to other people who you think might want to play! Also feel free to ask any questions about the game in this thread and I'm sure someone will answer you. I'll keep a signup list in this post...

I'm really only interested in playing if I finally get to be a village vig (will accept serial killer) and then don't get NK'd first. I might help mod though.
I don't think you need to limit this to people who've played previously but just people we don't think are f'ing idiots.
Are the roles going to be listed before the game starts or are they going to be the old "any of these are possible". I was really hoping to get some new people involved because of my GE theme suggestion (the old hey GE I like that let's try this ww GE game now) but if it's just retreads it's probable that theme should be saved for the next game.
If I'm not playing I probably will be willing to help mod. Is that time ok with everyone? I know 12 am est isn't euro friendly and could lead to eod voting and night action issues.

I believe you're the only one with any pull to get any of those. Would be tough to get 3 out of that list just from the part of the list I would have <5% chance of joining this game.
Also game needs a set date to start.

The game is starting on the 2nd barring any huge roadblocks in getting things set up on wolfboard and contacting everyone. Will be doing that all throughout the next 2 days. We may push it back to the 3rd if people don't respond fast enough. Still need a few of the regulars to sign up, don't know why Ngamer is being such a jerk about it tbh

You don't have to be here all day, just be around for some hours when the game is going on. Preferably around eod; since that's when most of the crazy action happens. Unless I'm a day vig, in which case I'm shooting a wolf every f'ing day and you won't want to miss that live. Days are 16 hours 8am est->12 am est according to the OP so that's plenty of time to come in and post.
Those events are always fun since any villager death it's insta berate the vig for 30 minutes and wolf it's LOL WOLVES.

You guys should be fine; the game isn't gonna last 11 days. There's only 20ish players.

Not exactly enthralled about the game days which are 14:00-06:00 for me. This means that I will most likely not contribute much for the 5-6 last hours of the day and is highly unlikely to be able to make any sort of defensive speech near EOD if I'm about to get lynched. I will however be able to wake up 05:45 and make a quick read and vote if it's urgent enough I suppose.
I'm fully aware why we are having these times, just wanted to make everyone aware how it handicaps my capacity.

Yep, almost ready to post OPs regarding all these rules. The rand will happen and roles will go out tonight, giving everyone a decent amount of time to log on, read the OPs, and get ready for day 1 tomorrow morning. This thread will be locked once the rand happens to avoid any discussion outside of the game.
