I was looking over all of my times and decided to make my first to-do/semi-retirement post/topic. Below is a list of times that I will try to achieve before I retire from competitive speedrunning. I doubt I'll ever stop playing completely, but that feeling of "moving on" has crept in I feel, and I've no problems letting these new talented players take the reigns as top players.
Facility A 46, SA 55, OOA 55
Surface 1 A 103
Bunk 1 SA 23
Silo SA 114, OOA 132
Surface 2 SA 51
Bunk 2 A 25, SA 51, OOA 106
Statue SA 220, OOA 220
Train SA 129, OOA 155
Control A 401, SA 417, OOA 421
Cavs SA 122, OOA 137
Aztec A 134, SA 144, OOA 152
I know my abilities and unless there are new strats developed, I can hit all these times. I know Dave will say all these times suck ( :P ), but this is an honest list of what is very possible for me. And yes, I've done the math. If I hit all these times, I will pass Dan and Eddie in points and total time. So as long as neither of them start PR'ing again I could hit 7th place (Marc, Luke, Guilherme and Dwit are the only current players that COULD affect that, but they have a while yet... )
I'm excited for what current players like Dave, Henning, Guilherme, Marc, Luke P, Koch and Dwit are and will continue doing. This game's legacy, just like a great wine, seems to get better with time and those that have been around it for so long ought to feel privileged to have been a part of it. I know I do. And I have no intentions of performing some obnoxious rage-quit "retirement," only to keep posting new times. Once (and IF) I hit my goals, I think I'll be able to give up the many hours of playing... :)
As I always have, I'll post PR's as I get them, mostly because I get too excited to whoard or wait. :P
I wish I had some cool theme music to play along with this post, but if anyone reads this, I guess just play the James Bond theme in your head, that seems fitting

Sounds about what I plan to do. Hit all my goal times and settle from there. Though my list may be a bit longer then yours lol. But im sure ill always have a few other goal times in mind after all is said and done
