Jimbo wanted to set up a $1 per pick "Super Bowl squares" board, like people used to run before the invention of the internet. But boy are those ever awful and luck-based and advantage-to-first-person-to-pick-based! So instead we're going to try something new: for $5 you can put in a guess on the following 10 fun SB prop bets. Whoever picks the best wins the whole pot!
RULES:
- $5 buy in, sent to ngamer@gmail.com on paypal. must have that in before kickoff to be officially entered
- can post your picks here, or send to ngamer@gmail.com or pm me on the board if you want to keep your picks private until kickoff
- 1 point for an untied correct pick, also 1 point for closest pick if no one hits it exactly, 0.5 points for a tied correct pick
- extra TB question will split a tie if need be
Pretty simple, right? Okay, here are the 10 questions! (can just copy and paste them along with your answers)
Super Bowl XLVI Prop Betting Extravaganza!
1. What will the color of the Gatorade dumped on the winning coach be?
(hint: "clear/water" is also an option)
2. What player will score the game's first touchdown?
(note: passing for a TD doesn't count)
3. How many times will Peyton Manning be shown on television during the game?
(hint: Vegas line is 3.5)
4. Will the opening coin toss be Heads, or Tails?
5. Will Eli Manning or Tom Brady throw for more total yards?
6. How many seconds will Kelly Clarkson's national anthem last?
(hint: Vegas line is 94.5 seconds)
7. How many total points will be scored during the game?
(hint: combined between the two teams; Vegas line is 55)
8. Which player will record the most total yards from scrimmage?
(note: that's rushing + receiving; passing yards don't count)
9. Will Madonna wear a hat (or any head covering) at any point during her halftime performance?
10. What will be the breed of this year's Puppy Bowl MVP?
Tiebreaker: What will be the final score of Super Bowl XLVI?

I'm fairly certain the Gatorade was purple...

It was clear at first, but ended with shades of purple at the end.... Not sure which is the correct ruling on that!

Are the just-for-fun entries not included on the list? Because I did fairly well compared to the rest of you guys.

The ice came out first and then the purple Gatorade that was at the bottom. The question was what is the color of the Gatorade, not the color of the ice. So, the correct answer is purple.
