Title: Nintendo 64 modding.
Post by: public-pervert on July 03, 2012, 11:37:52 pm
Hey guys! Some of you from the good old days will remember me. My name is Leonardo Santos  :smokin:

Well, it's been a while since I don't play GE. But I didn't came here today to talk about GE, but yet about something nice that I guess some of you would like. It's N64 modding! I just fall in love for this new hobbie!

Instead of make a super-big post with lots of pics, I'll give you links of what I've made.

N64 controller Turned Wireless and inside a WiiClassic: http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1759 (http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1759)
N64 Portable, The Laser64! http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=223 (http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=223)
N64 Overclocked + LED Mod: http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1760 (http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1760)
GameCube turned portable and inside a PSP case (work in progress) http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=9208 (http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=9208)

One thing I've noticed on the N64 overclocked is less lag on GE speedruns. I guess it's prohibited, right? Don't want to accuse anyone, but I've saw so many runs too smooth to a unmodded console. Just pointing.

Hope you like it guys! Thank you very much!

No one overclocks their N64 lol, and yes that is banned.

Lag management is a skill/knowledge that top players use and understand fully.

Wow, these are awesome!
Can you also buy them? And is a N64 controller with Gamecube analog for sale already?
I know there are guides but I can''t do all this stuff lol, great job :)

Thanks man!
Actually I don't make stuff for sale, but The-Elite was a vicious in my life for years. In gratittude, I can make it.

So, if theres some demand I can send you a pack of "half-mod", including pre-programmed chips and all the components already soldered. You'll need to solder your GameCube analog stick for yourself though.

But guy, take a look on tutorials. Is really not that hard. Give it a try! This is pure fun  ;)

Leonardo!  I would like to PURCHASE an overclocked N64 from you!  Your setup with the LED light and fan is really cool, but I wouldn't need those, just the ability to push the clock up to 1.25/1.5/2.0x.

How much would you like for that?

I would like, but I doesn't have PayPal account anymore, nor any spare n64.

If Guilherme or his brother can receive the payment, then we can play around..
