Alright, since Goose didn't updated the channel for more than a year (2?) I decided to take the charge of it and make some clean up on The-Elite WRs Youtube account. Some vids are too old, some new UWRs are just not there, so I think it's time to clean up that mess.
Here we go, I started this morning with Marc and uploaded all his untieds that wasn't there. I decided to not delete older vids but just put them as "non-classed", so we can still check them, and it's not "lost forever". (Also since some of Marc's untieds aren't the cleanest vids, I guess we should still keep the best time under the untied before we got a good quality for the WR).
The reason of that topic is to keep the Youtube account clean and to make a list of the vids that aren't on the account. I might send PM to each of the concern people for the hunting, but I'll still make the list here so, if anyone have the vids in the best quality as possible, send it to me. I can extract some from Youtube but I'd prefer if people can send me the best quality they have for these vids. Also, some of the videos have music added on them, so I'll mark them here to try to get a clean version of these. I'll try my best to be on AIM these days, or just send me the videos at:

Don't you need the raw files themselves instead of Youtube links? I would gladly help if it were a case of find vid link --> upload to TheEliteWRVids

Awesome work, Olivier :) That's one of the reasons you're one of my favorite eliters. You can still just rip the youtube videos that has the original Goldeneye music in it, but yea, it would be nice if the player could send you a raw non music vid if it isn't on youtube. I know for some vids, B2 SA 44 for example, that there is no music version for that, so simply just mute those, it's the best we can do.

Lol muting a video is always a horrible option. If there isnt a video without music then just add the music versions. Nobody is going to be bothered except Marc.

No. In order to make it look professional, you need no music. Muting is a better option than having someone else's pirated music. You don't see vids of Siglemic or Cosmo with random metal tracks or trance beats.
Music vids are fun for elite only, but when it gets bigger scale you need in game sound, or muted.

nice initiative BRIO! And yeah, do not delete any vid as some of the them are already linked on the rankings. The vids that are on the rankings should be the optimal in-game-sound version, however, in some cases there might be a better version available. Let me know if you find better versions and want to replace them with the ones on the rankings. I know that's not your main concern though. Post the URL(s) in this topic or something if you do happen to get over better versions.

also, mute all the goddamn music vids. Its horrible and very unprofessional. If people want to listen to music when you play a vid, then just turn on music yourself.

I was thinking exactly the same, it's so unproffesional with random music (Not leaving out that my crappy vids are very unproffesional) Hopefully i can dupe some of them.
And yeah, i think the full game speedruns should be included on the channle as well :)

Music vids are part of elite history. Im always for music vids on WRs.
But since this channel is for promotion and such, I agree that there should be no music vids on this channel.
But I always like music/vids with intros, those will always have their time and place, just not on that channel

For the music issue, I think muting the vid is better to keep any added music (Same if like Alex, I think that music added is part of "history"). Though, I'll make an annotation that link to the music video so it'll be up to the watcher to go check the music version if he prefer that.
And finally yeah, I already thought about uploading the full A/SA/00 A/SA/PA runs, I think it's a great idea.
And thanks for the encouragements everyone, it's great to see that it's have an interest and that I don't do it for nothing :) I'll let you know if I need any help here.

I also vouch for using original game sound version over music version on the ranks and this channel if possible. Even though elite music choices are decent and quite interesting, especially compared to other gaming communites like Diablo/WoW (50% Requiem for a dream) and Counterstrike (50% Evanescence/Nightwish, other 50% Refused - New Noise and similar cancer) :D
And yeah, i think the full game speedruns should be included on the channle as well :)
First they should be on the ranks, the 00A record isn't even there ;)

Speedrunning and making runs with music is a form of art. Muting it is raping it of this art. I agree that an in game sound version SHOULD always be preferred, but if the only available choice has music, I dont see the benefit of muting it. Its not like some random is going to view it and say "wow this run has music added, these people are a bunch fucks!". I actually get a lot of comments from non-eliters on youtube praising the music i added and saying they liked it. But whatever, if all my runs are going to get muted then feel free to add somebody elses instead.

Alright, Bryan is pretty clean now. I'll upload the rest of the replace vids he sent me tomorrow + Monteith untied. Clemens is such a lazy ass, so I guess I'll have to upload some crapy Youtube extract vid until someone motivate him :)
For Chuya untied looks like we'll not be able to do anything else than muting the vid. Otherwise I'm still waiting for the answer of the others.
And about the question of muting vids, I think it's better to mute them and put link to the music vid to let the music on it. I'm also agree that most of the music choice is great here, but music is something personnal and I'm sure some people would skip some vid just because of the music, so that's why I prefer to mute it and put a link to the music vid for people who are interested.

Making videos with music IS an art. Just look at Illu's vids for the prime example. And these are great fun for personal youtube channel use, as well as use within the elite. But when it comes to maintaining a professional youtube channel, muting is better.
Why? Because we don't OWN the music! A record company or another artist does. Adding music technically isn't LEGAL and that's why it should only be done personally (fun videos) and not commercially (official channel.)

Firefox's Easy YouTube downloader add-on can extract the video from YouTube with hardly any quality loss, so I recommend using that. I used it when making my "Best of The Best" video and the quality was almost the same as in the original YouTube video. Of course, having the original video would still be a better option..

Still waiting for an answer from CEDRIC. Blomzy got some poor quality vid and seems lazy lol. Still stay 2 vids from Illu. So I guess I have to extract all these vids for what it stay on the list now. Thanks for the help everyone.

Yeah, I usually use "Keepvid.com" so I can get some high qual there, but yeah, original files would have been better, but I guess now I don't that have choice.

Just to let you know: Aztec is and always was a horrible choice as the channel vid. It's a fact that the vast majority of viewers doesn't understand a single thing about the glass glitch. Many players haven't even unlocked that level.
Great choices would IMO be:
Facility A / 00A, level and target time are both popular.
Ingame sound versions of DC's B2 SA / 00A, because mad skillz
Train 00A, people love watch-lasering a whole survival level; too bad the WR has a lame cam vid
Jungle 00A, I was blown away the first time I saw Wouter's 58
Control SA, widely remembered as a super hard level, sick WR
