The "backing-up-Natalya" strat has been floating around for a while now but so far it hasn't been used in a real run, mostly because there hasn't been any solid way of doing it.
The first issue that comes up when shooting her in the leg a bunch of times is Natalya getting too close to the left stairs and therefor choosing those instead of the much much faster right stairs. There are a few stupid and complex ways to get around this problem but none really suitable for console runs.
The second problem is Natalya teleporting back to her original position. This happens when Bond leaves her line of sight meaning that going up the stairs and opening the slow door for her wouldn't be possible until she had already started moving.
So i'll start with the second issue, i noticed while watching Marc's stream that this issue had already been solved. You simply shoot her in the leg and open the door during her damage animation. She's prevented from teleporting during this time which makes it really easy to pull off. I really thought i had tested this a long time ago but i guess i managed to overlook it somehow...
Anyway, the solution to the first issue is what's new here i guess. As it turns out, shooting Nat in the leg isn't the best way to back her up. In fact, shooting her in the lower arm gets her further back than a leg shot. But this isn't the only advantage of an arm shot. Normally when shooting her in the leg, she always moves towards the left stairs, no matter which leg you hit. This isn't the case with arm shots. If you hit her left arm, she'll move a little bit toward the right stairs. (She would've moved alot more to the right if it wasn't for the fact that she's facing slightly to the right after approaching the computer).
So in conclusion, here's what we should be doing:
Edit: Forgot to mention you need to destroy the middle desk before backing up Natalya, but i guess that's obvious :p
1. During protection, shoot her in the LEFT ARM until she has 2 hp left (she needs to survive 1 more limb shot).
2. When obj B completes, make sure you're standing near the right stairs, then shoot her leg, move up stairs and open the brown door like normal, then get back down before her animation is over.
With this strat she'll end up in such a position that she'll move to the stairs in a straight line without spinning, every time. (This needs to be confirmed though, i've only done this 3-4 times)
She'll get to the right stairs a little more than 1 second faster this way. And about 1.3 seconds compared to a spinning Natalya.
This strat only really applies to SA/00A ^^ On Agent i think her position will be too bad to actually save anything (she'll spin and stuff)

Nice! Would it justify to do the pausing witchcraft instead of the arm shot in the first room, so she has health for one more hit during protect and maybe even get her in a better position? (I don't know how the pause stuff works, but I think Illu once said in chat that it's just as good if done right)

Well acually i don't think her being further back will make any difference. She's already behind the stairs so she can run in a straight line toward them.
Might be useful for Agent though.
