Hello friends,
I'm writing this topic to tell you all that I am taking another hiatus from the elite. I am glad that I returned for some more fun, to see my friends again, and to have some great positive impact on the elite. I am pleased that I successfully started the streaming revolution with the-elite and proved to all the doubters that Goldeneye streams would indeed be popular. I'm very happy that I got a couple more WRs and passed Illu to cement myself as an all time great GE speedrunner.
Ultimately, I can no longer handle the divide in this community between people who care about the games and have zero power, and people who don't care about the games but hold all the power. This divide ensures that the-elite will never grow as a community and never become something bigger. We've found that the-elite is very well respected by other communities, and it is a shame that the lack of development and positive ideas here will keep this community from being even better. Getting kicked off Team SRL due to personal vendettas against me by those administrators was a big blow as well.
The last time I took an extended hiatus became the salad days of my life. I fell in love for the first time, had my heart broken for the first time, and truly experienced life; true happiness, true pain, true loss. I was at a peak academically, professionally, and physically. I had dental and other medical work taken care of, and as a whole, became a better person. I hope that this hiatus will bring more positive life experiences.
I apologize to all who have come to know that my presence here is what makes the elite active like we've seen the past few months. I can only hope that the legacy I have left with streaming will keep this place active; rather than the least active period of time the elite has ever seen, like was my previous hiatus.
I've made some new good friends on my return, particularly MirrorMage and OHMSS, so I wish you guys the best. I'm sure I will see my good friends Luke, Durk, Cara, etc, on Facebook and whatnot.
I will return at some point, but I need some time away. My head needs to be in a different place to come back. I hope that when I return, Luke will be in the top 10 and the-elite will still be a decent place.

Sad to see you go Goose. Definitely one of my favorite members here and I've always enjoyed watching your streams, I'll sure miss them. I hope you accomplish many new things in your hiatus and I hope you come back soon. cya man.

Sucks to see you leaving, but yeah, good luck with your life. I really enjoyed your streams.
I understand you're pissed at the recent decisions, but you also hurt the community by leaving like that. I hope it's just a spur-of-the-moment decision and you'll reconsider it soon.
Regarding the discussion on the other thread: your last post there came out of nowhere and it was pretty overreacted (yes, I'm aware that wasn't the only reason that made you leave, but apparently it was the last straw). I didn't see people imposing anything there, they were just making a few suggestions and discussing them.

Goose is like that super talented prima donna that every professional sports team has but no one knows how to handle; I'm not even sure what I think of Goose now days because his opinions about you change as soon as you're not in the same chat room.

So anyways, I was investigating around and it seems like there are other well known guys who were removed from SRL. Keeta was removed for dicking around like he does, but he was pretty surprised that I was removed. RingRush was also removed which is really weird since he's a very well respected DK64 speedrunner. However Indextic for instance who screws around a lot on stream like Keeta does, was not removed.
It pretty much seems like people were "arbitrarily" removed, or removed because an admin at SRL doesn't like them.
Anyways, knowing I'm not alone makes me feel better about the whole situation. I might stream now and then sometime. However I've been very productive ever since my complete hiatus from the-elite has began so we'll see.

Keeta twitted Cosmo a few weeks ago wondering why he got removed from Team SRL and Cosmo answered they were changing the rules. Racing 25 times was one criterion, but maybe they're still changing stuff/creating new rules/whatever.
Stop seeing conspiracy everywhere, man. That's... probably not healthy.

We're not management, we can only go off secondhand stories - so stop thinking that because we don't have all the answers that there's a conspiracy out to get you.

Because "maybe they're still changing stuff/creating new rules/whatever." If you really want/need to know, go ask Cosmo or Jiano, there's a good chance they're the ones creating those new rules.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic there, I've seen Jiano answer chat questions regarding SRL multiple times on his twitch channel. He's pretty cool about it. Dunno about Cosmo, but he seems like a pretty nice guy too.
Drop the troll/cocky attitude and you should be fine. They might not be so nice if you're like "YO THIS IS GOOSE FROM THE-ELITE.NET, I GOT REMOVED FROM TEAM SRL AND I DEMAND TO KNOW WHY". :kappa:
