So Wodahs has become a new mod? Like seriously? Nothing against him personally but dude has only been here a few months, and he's already been promoted to mod status? Please don't say he's been part of the speed running community for years now as that's not really the point. What does he actually know about The-Elite and Goldeneye? How is he supposed to know which topics to close, merge, posts to delete, or what's seen as acceptable and not acceptable? Surely someone with a long history with this forum is a better choice? I understand he's fast becoming a popular member, but even still, this doesn't really make much sense. We don't even know how long he's going to stick around for as he has no track record.

Last time the players wanted a new mod - the fight that went on was legendary! Do you guys actually remember that? People were getting shat on every way from Sunday. And now this guy just waltzes in and becomes mod? The fight that finally got Koch installed as mod...
Now I have to put my personal side in here, I love you Wodahs, seriously. Good player, good personality, etc etc. I'm not making this post because I hate you, or even mildly dislike you...I'm making it because it creates an ugly precedent, that people who can get times become mod, or that people who make stupid promises will actually fulfill them. Yes this is a community regarding Goldeneye (and he was only given mod for this board) skill != mod last time I checked. Otherwise, why isn't Ace/Clem/Marc etc etc all mod?(*cough*)
I really hope this was just a troll by Elite admin here, because if it wasn't, time to get salty.

This isn't really acceptable, even if it is just a silly joke. This place never gets taken seriously anymore, turned into a complete laughing stock to be honest. If I hadn't made this topic what then? He would have remained mod for god knows how long, and no one would have said shit. And seriously, does anyone here actually really find it funny in any way whatsoever that someone became a mod for beating someone else's time? What's the average age of this place again?

Wodahs probably won't close or move a single topic aside from something that's blatantly offensive and useless. He's new and doesn't want to overstep anyone else. His role as moderator is essentially ceremonial, and is funny as fuck.
Not to mention Wodahs is undoubtably a better mod than Ngamer's troll gayfestathon of homo buddies like Trent, Matis, etc.
If you don't understand, I recommend you leave the elite immediately.

btw, why isn't Karl already a PD board mod? We've only got 4 PD mods but 5 in GE. And Karl's higher ranked in PD too. I find it ironic Karl only got GE board mod privileges :nesquik:
