Watching your climb to the top 10 was incredible. You started in like 75th place or whatever and now look where you are. You're one of the best players here, you should be really proud of yourself.

Go for top 5.  :nesquik: :kappa: :nesquik:

Sweet, what a fast rise! Wow, you are #7 in Agent points and 1 tiny point away from #6 (Bauer). Looking forward to your future PRs :)

Major congratulations, mate!  You very much deserve your place among the greats and I'm certain you'll end up top 7 or better!

Job well done!  :)

Wow no one would have seen this coming 1 year ago.  No one would have predicted Luke Szklarz would be the one to knock Shawn Johnson out of the top 10.

You have been a great friend to me Luke... someone I've always gotten along with throughout these years, and it is a pleasure to see you etch your name into GoldenEye 007 speedrun history with this achievement.

This is truly an amazing accomplishment and a testament to show that you never know what will happen tomorrow.  Luke was a decent newcomer around 2005-06 who got the easy WRs and never really made an impact beyond that.  (Almost untying Caverns 1:02... almost.) Then his activity in the elite declined for a good 3-5 years where he barely posted, nor played.  Then, twitch brings a bit of life to the elite, Luke starts playing again, is actually amazing this time around... and BOOM, top 10.

Life is a crazy thing.

Never give up.

Thanks guys for the kind words! (and smilies). Thanks Shawn for being such a champ about (temporarily) losing your top 10 position and general encouragement along the way. back when I picked up goldeneye again I had no intention of ever making it this far... but once I reached a certain skill level times started coming pretty quickly, and top 10 wasn't out of the question. my times page still needs a lot or work especially 00a, but even agent there are a handful of WRs I can definitely see myself getting. I'm still getting better at Goldeneye but can more clearly see my limitations now, and I think if I put enough time and effort into every level I can see myself ending up next to Goose (hopefully in front of course :p)

I hope i have set a good example for any other ambitious player out there who wants to prove to themself what they are capable of, how you might want to do it. play for pr's not points, make vids of runs You are happy with, watch Lots of vids of better runs than yours, use music sometimes for fun, stream and race when you can - all newbies should be doing agent races against each other every so often, I can't stress how much better racing Eise in December last year helped me get better. now time to get my assignments done so I can play in the holidays :)

Jimbo:

Unfortunately for you, no one cares about time on the scoreboards :)
