What are my options for capture devices if I wish to record Goldeneye single stage runs? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I you're not broke, IMO get a Dazzle or a decent HDD recorder and enjoy it. Those ultra-cheap chinese USB grabbers (EasyCap, LogiLink, Mumbi, ...) are usually a huge pain in the ass and probably don't even work with Win 8 / USB 3.0 machines (there's neither ongoing driver support nor any official homepage). In hindsight, I would've gladly spent 70€ on a Dazzle instead of having fucked around with my Mumbi for hours just to achieve acceptable operation.

Dazzle DVC 100 is what a ton of people use.
-
I use a Sweex Video Grabber. Got it for €35,-
-
Dazzle DVC100 and powered splitter combo for about $40.00 USD which will last you forever and provide unlimited entertainment when you want to stream to multiple TVs - tell me a better 40 bucks spent.

Just to let you know, you may have audio problems with the Dazzle DVC 100. If this happens, you'll have to get a 3.5mm Male to 2 RCA Female Cable.

That will save you a lot of frustration. Also, don't bother with Virtual Audio Cable, it's garbage. Best of luck, and hopefully you will be able to get your stream setup to work.

I use an EzCAP which works great, IMO. DON'T buy an "Easycap" because those are fake and of much lower quality. I bought my EzCAP from the official seller. I use Windows 7 so I can't say if it'll work for you if you use another OS.
Dazzle seems pretty good if you keep what the above poster wrote in mind.

Luke uses a Dazzle and he said that he has no problems with getting audio?
-
setting up audio can be a bitch sometimes, as capture cards often require different drivers for the audio as the video. I even had a capture card once that supplied audio drivers that did not work and it took me days to find a replacement audio driver that did.
So basically, Dazzle will probably work but it might not work instantly

I want in game audio for stream badly :( I have a dazzle have tried VAC and all that cant get it to work if someone figures out a pure setup tell me and i have team viewer also so you can use my pc
-
Lockwood I'm right there with you buddy. I eventually said fuck it and went with microphone-only audio instead which is almost just as good. Eise has a prime setup with game audio and mic over the top of it however.
-
Lockwood, buy this and it'll fix all of your audio problems.

Plug it into the microphone jack on your laptop. After you do that, hit the speaker icon, then go to system sounds > recording > microphone properties >
Be sure to check the box that says "listen to this device".

only possible if you use a USB mic in that case. But if I were you, I'd read that SDA topic for solutions to get it working correctly in the first place
