quick search seems like people have trouble with it.
"It should be compatible. Windows 8 has compatibility mode than is basically the same as windows 7 "
but lots of people saying it doesn't work
anyway, fuck ebay. amazon till the day i die

I have Windows 8 64-bit and Dazzle DVC 100 and I've never had any kind of compatibility issues whatsoever.
Anyway, that sucks Kyle. Amazon is way more trustworthy than Ebay so hopefully you'll be playing soon.
-
how many times per day do you guys watch RL streets 112 im at like six or so i suppose
-
Another month of webcam pr's Hype!!!!
but seriously, that sucks man :(
it's odd how in Perth WA I could go for a 30 minute drive ANC find a power splitter but in the US you have to buy one over amazon :S
-
Getting a overall quality stream/capturing is literally a full time job. You gotta dedicate your whole life to it for it to work out. If the time invested in wars for killing people, material gain and invading countries would be invested into making decent capture quality easy, i'd be able to have a perfect setup from my fucking Nokia 3310 phone.
-
got dat jap cart :o
proper splitter after this weekend i'm pretty sure
-
seriously!
2nd power splitter came...tested it initially and the power light went on
plugged everything in and now it wont work.
-
You must be doing something wrong. Even with your first one. Consumer products don't just fail like that. I've NEVER had a dud product of anything I've ever bought online in the past 12+ years.

yeah you would have to be INSANELY unlucky to get two dead-on-arrivals.
Is the power light still on? Are you sure you are using the right cables? Do you have any other consoles you could try it with?
-
i'll try a bit more and edit this post with info
when i plug it into the power and nothing else the light does not come on...both of these
-
Just to be clear
There should be 1 INPUT and 2 or 4 OUTPUTS
The N64 goes into the INPUT
one OUTPUT goes to your capture card and then computer
one OUTPUT goes to your TV
are you sure you are doing this?
Are you sure you didn't get splitters that go the opposite way? ie: several inputs to 1 output?
-
i have 2 of these

nintendo goes on the ports on the right with "IN" above them
Capture card and TV are connected to any of the other ones
Yellow = Video
Red/White = Audio
-
yes its clearly labled i know how to hook it up
nope
it doesnt matter what i do, if i have it plugged into the power alone it doesnt turn on and when i plug the cables in that doesnt change anything.
-
is there an ON / OFF switch somewhere?
mine just turns on when there is a power source..
it is very hard to believe 2 of these things would be dead-on-arrival

Not if there the exact same model.

I bought my power splitter at radio shack. It cost a little more but works like a champ. Idk about buying those super cheap china power splitters lol
-
someone please point me to a link or something reliable where i can get a decent splitter
-
Your local electronics store. :kappa:
-
I use an unpowered splitter which looks like this (http://img.tradera.com/medium/839/147687839_22b418b9-6f86-422f-9cc2-274ad2667fd7.jpg) and it does its job.
-
Flicker I have the same one shown and mine stopped working after a few months. The innards become loose. I am sure if you open it up you will probably see what is wrong.
-
The easiest, most reliable solution is to get a bunch of 2-way splitters, like DK links in the first page of the streaming topic. Get three of those and you're good to go.
Another option: I've used a 1-in/4-out distribution amplifier for several years:

I got it from RadioShack. Basically I'd stay away from fancy shit, just get a simple device that will get the job done.
-
I use a VCR to split signals.

yes i am currently using one of these Y-Splitters, this causes the signal to lose strength and become much darker
i'm going to try these

costing about 5 bucks
(this should also work to get me in-game sound without using an external webcam mic)

How is that different from using a Y splitter? Both of them are passive?
Do you have AV in the front and how many SCART do you have on the back of your TV? If you have two or more on the back you might be able to use one of these

seems like it's separated better, i'm not sure. SRT told me he uses "double ended" cables, i thought i would try it. either way i dont care if it makes a difference or not because the extra splitters for audio are useful anyway
i have 1 input and 1 output on my TV....
I'm retarded. the output works.
I am now making a video to explain this all.
-
Loool if it really was that simple....
-
yeah dude i'm pretty pissed over having to buy 2 power splitters and using a shit Y-Splitter but you know what
FUCK IT
because its over
