I feel the need to make a few comments on the PM Swompz made awhile ago.
"A bit after I joined the elite, I started streaming myself running Depot A with the goal of 0:26. A couple days after that, one of the attendees in my stream posted Depot A 0:26 crediting Luke S. with helping him. That kinda frustrated me a bit, because I knew he had only went on to work on the level after he saw me doing it. I played it off with a "meh". Thing is, I'm not new anymore."
I'm fairly sure that I played for Depot 26 before you did. I remember Luke coming into my stream and saying that there was a "race" between you and I for 26. He said my trainshot consistency was better but your hut strafing was better. That was when I knew 100% that you were seriously going for 26. I actually felt YOU were targetting me at that point but I didn't really care because that is what competition is about and gives speedrunning flavor.

The first stream I did for Runway 00 37 attempts wasn't the first time I actually played for Runway 00 37. You do not know when I first played for it. I remember when you posted something trying out the nade strat and that made me feel like a target again because I told everyone when I came back from my summer vacation that I was going for Runway 00 37 which was way before you started going for it.
"At this point I think, "meh" this is fine, the random number generator and challenge that is Runway 00A 0:37 will keep him at bay! Nope. The little bitch sits down for 25 hours, as he indicated (which my stream he hijacked was more than 25 hours prior) and gets the fucking time."
Firstly, I'd like to point out that the nade strat (for 37) does not have a lot of RNG. Sure you can get boosted and the drones can blow up late but it's way more down to skill. Secondly, please don't call me a "little bitch" behind my back. Say it to me directly. Lastly, you're assuming I played for 25 hours STRAIGHT. I could have played 2 hours one day and then none the other. I'd also like to point out that 25 hours was just an estimation.

I don't believe rankings accurately show skill tier. It can but for the rankings we were at the time (80s-90s), it just shows how many levels you have played. I hardly watched your stream, I did not steal any of your ideas and I was not using you as a template. Again, why the name-calling behind my back?

Even though I was not imitating you, you show a problem with competition, Swompz. So what if someone goes for the same time as you and gets it first? It shows that that person is better because he got it first especially if that person does it consistently. This is what speedrunning is about. Yes you can have fun and enjoy the euphoria of getting an amazing time but you cannot just enter some speedrunning community and not expect competition. Look at Ace and Clemens, they were copying each other's times for a long time. When Karl invented the new strat for B2, Clemens, Marc and Karl all went for 23. Karl invented the strat but didn't get the 23 but did he complain? No.
I've been pissed before but I don't take out my anger by sending PMs to people and saying things about them behind their back. I'll admit that I was little angry that Wodahs just came in here and started caking amazing times. He's ranked so high and he has plenty of great times. He's better than me and I respect that and we're even good friends now. I admit that I was angry when Woody caked 1:18 and 2:00 on Dam. I was playing a lot of Dam at the time and he got those times with less than half the effort I put in. I didn't send any PMs or direct any unneeded hatred towards Lockwood. I just chilled out and congratulated Woody on his times. He's probably better than me at Dam and probably the rest of the game and I respect that. He's a great player and we're friends today. I admit that I was pissed when Luke got 1:17 very quickly as I was going for it as well. I realized how stupid it was to be mad because he is a far greater player. I didn't tell anyone that Luke was a little bitch for getting 1:17 and even after all that, we're still friends today.

Swompz doesn't know how competition works and doesn't understand the natural feeling of being beaten by someone else.

I just became aware of this thread and haven't been back for very long, so I apologize for the late response. Since it's a thread about me I feel the need to respond :kappa:
First of all I appreciate the OP a lot, and everyone that signed in favor of it. It felt great to take it all in and I found some of it amusing loool. But it couldn't be a thread without it's problems :v

You're deeply eccentric. It's like OHMSS said about the "P" in "PM" - but if you want to try and shit on someone else's reputation that's your personality and decision man. The only mistake I made was directing the PM at you. You posted the PM and then you had those fighting words right there three months later. You weren't jumping on a bandwagon you created it. So you're the one with malicious intentions.
When you posted my PM I didn't think you were trying to slanderously mislead people into thinking it was synonymous with my departure. Now I know that's what you were doing, even though my departure was a considerable amount of time after I sent that. I was actually thrilled back in February when a friend Facebook'd me the link to you posting it. I thought it was hilarious because it got my points across. I loved it. I didn't feel bitter in the least, let alone leave over it because I quickly moved on. You answered all of my concerns with your response, so I forgot all about it immediately. Naturally though, you didn't include your PM when you posted mine. So even though this seems about as retarded as you posting mine (and as out-dated like mine was) I feel obligated obviously:

Listen man. You're a really cool guy and a favourite newcomer of not only me, but most of the community. Mirrormage is as well, however.
Mirror isn't targeting you or harassing you at all (please don't falsely accuse someone of harassment, that is low level shit.) Mirror is just playing the game.
Do you think I'm happy when I put in 30 hours in a week for Air Force 1 Agent 0:54 and then Ace cakes 53 untied? It was going to be my first PD WR and Ace takes it from me. Everyone on my stream and in the elite wanted me to get that WR, and Ace took it from me. That WR would have meant way more to me than it did to him, but he took it from me.
That's elite speedrunning.
It's very common for people of similar skill levels to play the same levels. Hell, in 2004-05 we would have separate rivalry rankings. of 10 or so guys who were new and decent, just to compare them more closely. Playing the same levels is what you do. Do you not remember in February when everyone was playing for Bunker 2 Agent 0:24? Or the battle for Cradle A 0:34 between Luke, Marc and I? Well, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
That is life. It's just friendly competition, but yeah it can get a bit sharp at times. Mirror has been going for Runway 37 on and off since about November 2012... it's not like he targeted you and caked it. He's a 14 year old kid. Just chill.
I know it feels shitty when this happens to you (trust me, I know... Ace JUST did it to me) but that's what happens here at the elite.
Life is not about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can GET HIT, and KEEP GOING.

Anyways, even after I began the hiatus from playing I still participated in that lengthy Werewolf game (which I survived :kappa:). That was the last thing I did before I departed, which had nothing to do with the way I felt when I typed that PM weeks prior. I was really taken back by some of the negativity here because I didn't realize Goose's post would lead to all of that. I felt inclined to respond here and speak for myself. So on that note, in addition to being married, I've been telling anyone who's asked that the reason why I was inactive was because I started a corporate position. Caking PRs doesn't fit the equation sometimes. I'm merely having a life and that's why I was inactive.
