Title: Streaming Essentials
Post by: Troublesome Moral Code on April 16, 2014, 10:41:07 pm
Post your specs here for reference or recommendation if you have a product that you really like. Names, pictures, links, whatever you can think of that provides answers on what streaming equipment you use!

Myself, I just have Y splitters (F in, F out) and composite extension cables that go straight from the game, to the splitters, then to capture device/TV.
I don't use a VCR anymore, but what I did have was really good (RIP inputs).
I'd forever recommend a CRT television no matter what.

Because of my splitters though the signal loss is way, way too strong. The TV is almost pitch black after 20 minutes of play lately, and I can't get it any better than that. What's your recommendation on a powered splitter?

VCR Center hub
- Antenna cable (i think that's what it's called?) going to shitty CRT(gold) - tv is so old a 64 cannot be directly hooked up to it
- Line out composite cable going to Dazzle DVC 100
- Line in going to N64

free Xsplit
HP Cam that's on my laptop
oh yeah and random blank tapes to always record on

everything I need - except the wireless internet that comes with my current living situation makes a quality stream inconsistent. I can live with that.

Composite cable splitter set.
It's possible for me to get direct game sound using these splitters for audio, it would connect to an adapter that would plug in through an Auxillary cable into my computer's mic input. I had the adapter to AUX around somewhere, but I'm missing it now.
