People should just tape EVERY 50+ pointer, as "irrel" as they might be. Hell, I'm not playing PD at the moment cause I feel pretty bad about getting 70-something-pointers in webcam quality and this is PD I'm talking about (aka the game "no one cares about").

Yeah my video is on the ranks. twitch links don't work well in the url section.
I also don't like the auto-playing of videos put in the url section, though I think it only happened with direct links, not sure.
I will update the quality though when my DVDR is full and put it on YT or make a direct link (or both) then too.

- Mirror is amazing but 46 still took him a while. With his skill the time should be extremely replicable.
- Goose, self-proclaimed GE legend and best player in the world, almost burned out on improving 46.
- Fac A is an insanely overplayed level and still only 29 players have a time of 46 or better (less than 53/17/16 WRs).
- The above protest very much smells like an excuse for a sequel of the LOLOL FUCK THE ELITE STAFF DONT MESS WITH THE ACTIVE PLAYERS story.
- I just got 46 so dis is amazing.
Taking the above into account, requiring proof for 46 is a very reasonable action.

Goose will never be objective.
Basically, the same rules applies for everyone when it comes to proof. If you're skilled or not (already arbitrary) has nothing to do with it. As long as the PR is within the 80 point mark, it should be proven.
I don't get why certain top players/skilled players refuse to release some of their videos. A PR is a PR. And it's not 2003 anymore. If everyone just released all their "reasonably good" PRs we would never have these kinds of disputes ever (this almost looks like another Proof Call test or so - I do hope I'm wrong). But providing videos (and preserving proof) is unfortunately a recurrent issue here within the community. Ironically, highly ranked players tend to treat either proof or video quality like shit (yet they're the ones that should care the most). Oh well, it's your own fault if you get backrolled.
I also agree with OHMSS's points.
All that said, Philip's deadline is in 30 days :) :P

You're a 60/60 player yourself. So it seems very ironic to me how you want a rankings with as few videos as possible. Furthermore, many people here even find the Proof Call window of ~80 points too lenient (it has been ~80 points since 2009...). So if anything, more claimed times should be proven.
Your softman/Karl argument is not what I meant with skill/no skill and you know it. Regardless, both of them would naturally need to provide proof of Cav 1:32.

I've made mistakes in the past, but saying "he's capable of achieving that time, so he doesn't need proof" is the biggest piece of subjective bullshit I have ever heard in my life. Someone's skill level is completely irrelevant when it comes to this issue. Saying that is just an excuse to not provide proof.

It's ironic how Goose always stresses how bad of a player Expert is. Yet, Expert was ranked as high as 2nd in PD in his heyday (with 1.1 and no use of PAL) and has achieved 27 untieds in his career. By using Goose's logic, many (ancient) PD players within the Top 40 or so are apparently also bad players with no skill whatsoever.

Asking for proof of a reasonable time by a lower ranked player isn't rediculous. It's only outside the recommended point barrier by 2 points so it's pretty reasonable. Mirror's other times have no impact on this decision.
We are trying to establish a general attitude that providing proof should happen for ALL reasonable times. Basically, don't slack off. The more times that are proven the better the elite becomes. If you want to create a better elite, support it by creating videos of all your times.
You cannot argue that needing to provide proof is a bad thing. So drop the attitude and understand that this is a good thing as a whole.
