Title: Which NFL team should I support?

Until a year ago I knew nothing about NFL.
Now I know bit, but not much.
I follow the results so I figured I might as well pick a team to  follow.

At this point I am leaning towards Philadelphia, because one of the punters, Sav Rocca, used to play Australian Rules football. ;)  
I'm still open for suggestions. State your case. Go!

Whatever you do, do NOT support the colts. I'm not saying you have to support my New England Patriots, just DO NOT go with the Colts.

Philly wouldn't be a bad choice. That way you and QB can cheer together and he won't be alone.

There's too many teams! I'm still leaning to the Eagles.
I've got to say Lark, your argument against the Colts isn't strong!

Jumping on the bandwagon of last years winner in any sport is just retarded.


Pick a mediocre team that has a shot at getting good the next few years, it'll be more satisfying!

I'd agree. I don't plan to go for a team that's got a high win-loss ratio atm.
On that basis, I may change my mind,

You should cheer for the Green Bay Packers.  They are the most unique sports team in all of North America.

The Green Bay Packers were founded on August 11, 1919 by Curly Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun. Lambeau solicited funds for uniforms from his employer, the Indian Packing Company. He was given $500 for uniforms and equipment, on the condition that the team be named for its sponsor. Today, "Green Bay Packers" is the oldest team name still in use in the NFL.

The Packers are now the only publicly owned company in American professional sports. Typically, a team is owned by one person, partnership, or corporate entity; thus, a "team owner." It has been speculated that this is one of the reasons the Green Bay Packers have never been moved from the city of Green Bay, a city of only 102,313 people in the 2000 census.  (By comparison, the typical NFL football city's population is in the millions.)

Basically the Packers are the NFL equivalent of Ngamer, except the Pack is literally owned by just over 100,000 everyday people who live in the Green Bay area, whereas Ngamer gets owned everyday by any one of around 100,000 people.

I think you'll find Come had very little to do with me liking the Colts.

Also, lol Sav. He won't be on the Eagles for very long!

If what I'm reading is correct, Sav is the oldest player in the league. Yeh he won't be there for long, so I need to read up on the rest of the team - find out if they're any good ;)
