Title: GoldenEye Speedrun Lore - a Twitch series by Goose
Post by: RWG on July 17, 2014, 07:07:13 am
Tonight while streaming, my good pal Taylortotftw asked "what GE level has the most storied lore."  I believe it to be Streets Agent, and so I told the story of the legendary stage, from start to finish.

GoldenEye Speedrun Lore, Episode 1 - Streets Agent

It is a 20 minute video, which seems to be a good length for a complete story.  It was done impromptu without a script, but I feel it's pretty good.  I plan on doing more of these and will use this thread to post them.

I think Frigate Secret Agent is a good level to do next.  Dam Agent as well.  Which other levels have a lot of storied lore behind them?

Runway 00A would be good since Cliff Hampton got one of the most unexpected untieds in quite a while from a player not ranked very high at the time, not to mention how long it lasted before being tied. S2 Agent has a lot too with the mine throwing strat improvements over the years and a level benefited by 2.x. Of course Aztec with glass, Caverns 00A, Train + many others come to mind. Really almost every single GE level has a good story behind it when given some thought.

For someone with not a lot of general knowledge about The Elite and all of it's past history that was quite a nice video to watch, and it taught me a thing or two about streets and the hype behind Lockwoods 1:12. Can't wait to see more.

Thanks for the Lore Goose  :D

I actually really enjoyed that. Aztec, Cav 00, Facility, Train would be others I think have a lot of lore behind them. (Like Boss said though, all the levels really do if you stop and think about it.)

Good work, Goose.
