How do people prefer to hold the controller, the two main styles as I have been told on various streams ( with 1.2 ) are Keyboard Style and Alien finger and I was just wondering what style established runners think is not so much the easier way but the most efficient way? :)

I am probably the only weirdo who uses the Dpad to strafe, right hand analog, its index on S/A/B and middle finger on Z. But until I get some decent PRs don't this :kappa:

I use alien most of the time, otherwise my right pointer is braced on the indent hole on top of the controller just left of the R button and I throw my left thumb off the stick and hit A or B real quick situationally. I know of a lot of people who use alien. I believe Wodahs uses keyboard and he's really good so, it comes down to preference imo.

The problems with keyboard (at least for me) are crouching (only really needed on Frig 00 if you save engine hostage) and sometimes moving from backwards to fowards after doing an alarm on Dam SA. You have perfect freedom with it otherwise.

I have two setups.
The 1.1 casual: useful for almost every level, use your right thumb on all C buttons and 1.1 control style. Release the c buttons briefly to press A or B. In tense moments, you can use your index finger to hold the C buttons while you open these doors, if you're really feeling wild.
The 1.2: use your right thumb on the C buttons. Use also your right thumb on A and B. Press every C button at the same time with all the other fingers when you try to move and change weapons at the same time, while trying to be as inefficient as possible. Remember to look down trying to move forward every single time.

I use 1.2, mostly without the alien finger. I use my left thumb to let go of the joystick to press A, B or A+B. I shoot/press Z with my right middle finger. I'm not 100 % sure, but I think Marc mostly plays without the alien finger as well, even on levels like Train and Facility.
Clemens holds the left hand by the D-pad, but then reaches for the joystick with his thumb.
