As a calendar year comes to a close this eve, a new year is about to begin. It's time to do our annual prediction of the Goldeneye Top 10 as well as the WRs for every level and how they will stand in exactly 1 year, on December 31, 2015. It's notable that at some point this year, Goldeneye will turn 18 years old! A true testament to the endurance and longevity of this amazing community which many of us have been a part of for 10+ years, and is still thriving with new life. Also noteworthy is that last year, Shawn "Afan" Johnson was ranked 10th. He is now ranked 14th. Illu was 7th and is now 10th. This demonstrates that the Top 10 is open to anyone who puts in the effort and has the desire. Once more, 186 WRs were achieved this year, the most since the "golden age" in 2007. Thirteen untieds happened, including Caverns SA dropping 6 seconds thanks to the "explosive through door" strategy.

^ lol ^
I like it, Jimbo. Your tenure here at the Elite, all jokes aside, has been a very solid one.
Man that screen shot be bringing it way back.
-
That's a great, retro picture of the rankings, but that is the most troll top 10 I have ever seen in my life.
-
top 3 on a list where 6 and 7 might not be top 50 at the end of the year....
not seeing the WIM (want it more) required to change the top order, marc could get 2nd if he cared to but doesn't seem to, luke could get back into 3rd but nearly all of his times are 9x already, everyone else is too far back from top 9. Other guys have the talent but have clearly shown they can't grind every level for it, and wodahs seems to loathe aztec and Jimbo would grind GE in the honeymoon hotel if he needs to.
It looks like it'll be continued carnage in the lower ranks (lol old people).
-
To be honest I don't loath aztec, I just save the best for last :kappa:

Few posts in this thread I think mostly due to everyone's AGDQ presence. With no untieds yet this year it's definitely not too late to get your predictions in, so here we go!

5. Bryan Bosshardt
6. Ryan "RWhiteGoose" White
7. Karl Jobst
8. Jimbo Barrett
9. Jimmy Bauer
10. Daniel "Wodahs" Coehlo
Analysis:
Mirrormage gets his first untied and ties 1:16, but still doesn't complete his timespage for Top 10.
Wodahs completes the inevitable, reaching 10th, but no higher (the gap between 11th and 10th is such a grind that Daniel is exhausted afterwards and goes back to OOT for a bit.) He does nail Egypt 44 for his first untied.
Lockwood, JustinDT, Clemens and Bauer do little damage.
Jimbo keeps after those 90 pointers enough to pass a fairly quiet Bauer.
Goose periodically goes ham on some untieds and earns over $25k from Twitch revenues.
Marc and Ace have their rivalry reignited, trading insane untieds and tying each other's stuff all summer long. They make efficient use of new timesavers on levels like Bunker 2, Archives SA and Control Agent.
Many try and fail at tying Surface 2 00A 1:25.
Illu nails Dam 52 with merely a 2:0, 2.2 run. He releases it in a 30 minute feature film to critical acclaim.
Eric does nail Depot 39 which remains untied all year long. He experiences success in other aspects of life shortly thereafter.
Luke continues grinding but doesn't do anything shocking. He just steadily keeps on PRing and WRing where he should. Like a rock on a mission.
I predicted way too many untieds but at least the colours look nice. People often predict way too much movement in the Top 10. I think Wodahs can make it but it won't be as easy as most think. No one else really comes close. Justin could do it but he seems to have dropped out of it for a while. Mirror nor Lockwood will fill their timespages enough to get close.
