Speedrunning, more particularly competition and community, have helped me grow up as a man over my time here. Sure, it's possible that simply growing up from 15 years old to 25 years old will do that, but I definitely attribute a lot of things I've done and experienced surrounding the-elite and speedrunning to be a large reason for it. I'm glad to see two young fellows, Qweczol and TaylorTot already seeing the change speedrunning as brought upon them, as this will only continue to grow and improve them transition from young, childish boys into strong, independent men in the coming years. I would strongly encourage any young people to compete at video games because I know the power it can hold in shaping someone from a child into a mature adult.
