After watching Henrik/Simon's 00A TAS run for Runway 00A and chatting with Disco, I quickly realized that this strat could be feasible to do. The idea is to take a more direct line to the 3rd drone after tossing a nade at the 2nd drone. You intentionally take a back from the far drone (prime nade here for 3rd drone), then get a guard boosted throw to the far drone. As you make that throw, you should get hit again right away (prime nade here for battery) from the far drone. TAS does shoot the nade at the end, but we should still be able to get 34 or 35 just by waiting out the nade explosion. Only attempt this strat if you have just over 6.5 bars or more (have to survive 3 drone hits and a guard boost). Old strat is your only option if you have just over 5.5-6.5 bars left. Less = restart. Ideally, you want as close to full health as possible so when the drone hits you as you prime for the battery throw, you don't get stunned as long.
Here's an attempt where I actually took out the 3rd drone with a guard boost. I had no chance to live since I didn't have enough bars left.

Here's a vid of the boost I think we're looking for. No idea what I was doing for the 2nd drone, all I cared about was the third:

34... the new 35

Randy and Boss push the game far greater stratwise than those exposed, washed up frauds Clemens and Marc ever did.
If 2012 - present is the elite renaissance, then Randy and Boss are like Rome. Absent and irrel for years, then shows up and drives the entire world force again.
Clemens the barbarians going on the crusades with primitive tools and weapons (webcam, no capture card, etc)
Marc the opposing force in the crusade, same primitive nonsense.
Ace was like Genghis Khan just roaming free slaying everyone.
I think I will make a "history of the elite: timeline and characters" thread sometime within the next 2-3 months.

Things I've noticed during a session. May or may not be relevant.
- Getting the first two drones should be trivial. Just a matter of modifying the angle of the second throw. I believe the timing remains the same, or it may be slightly earlier than before.
- The sharp right turn across the Runway reduces the chances of the guard boost just after the second throw, notorious for ruining many runs for me.
- The guard boost needed for the far fling was not as consistent as I expected (shocker :kappa:), but probably because I was switching strats often, or not enough runs to notice. Maybe I was unlucky.
- Lot of things happening those last 4 seconds. A guard boost at an awkward angle, a turn, another boost, prime, angle adjusting, throw before getting hit, survive. Rewatching Boss' vid, if the drone can be consistently destroyed before it hits you a third time (after the throw), then 1 bar of health to the finish is survivable.
- With invisibility, times were around 33 to the plane (no explosion), 34 with a wait (nade explodes), 35 on slow runs. Obviously my last two nade throws were not even close, so not legit enough.
- I also tried some regular strat stuff. Just wasn't feeling it, but made some progress in getting a boost at the start, which is a better boost than what the guard can do.
- 34 pace for me is a music change at the top of the hill just before the throw to the second drone (old method throw). If you watch my 35 and the way I cut the cinemas, the music change happens just before the top of the hill on a 1:0 run. You can notice it also in my semi-legit 34 (34.9 / 2:0 / 2.2) but I cut the cinema later. Cliff's 34 fail was around 34.8 / 4:0 / 1.2 (?), with that music change also near the top of the hill (slightly late cinema cut), but he gets that last boost after the throw.
It goes without saying, I love a shot at an untied. It's likely that I will play this level every time I play GE.
My case for going with TAS strat: I've never gotten 33 to the plane so easily with any other legit method/lines.
My case for sticking with the regular strat: Karl's 35 was 2:0, 35.2

You could get the other set of nades (for around a .2 loss) for more flexibility with potential guard killing/nade boosting for TAS strat. Randy originally had the idea to do a nade boost for the 3rd drone (TAS strat), but I don't know of a reasonable way to do that. Perhaps this could be plausible with the old strat somehow? There is that time frame between 2nd drone throw and priming 3rd nade where maybe you could somehow set something up for that.

Could also just save that 5th nade for a quick Agent-style up throw while crossing the runway. Should give enough time to cook that 3rd drone throw once the nade lands. Sounds crazy enough to work...
