It's really strange, it's as if he doesn't want to get points. Take Aztec SA for instance: the best pointless time you can currently get there is 2:22, Rune's had 3:04 for a while and then today he cuts it down to 2:35 (ok) and then 2:25, a mere 3 seconds away from the limit. Since he's so close, you'd expect him to keep playing that -- nope, off to 00A he goes. Any time he gets close to points, whoops, level change.
I don't really think he's incapable of getting these times or anything, but he's been playing for a while now, how hasn't he even fluked anything worth points yet? Sounds fishy to me - and at the same time... completely inoffensive, since no one really cares a lot about time ranks.
It's as though he's going for the "top 100 time, 0 points" personal achievement, which... feels unique I guess, but still, I'm calling BS on the whole "ahaha Rune is so bad he STILL can't get points loooool" story. Has he ever shown up anywhere (Twitch, boards, anything)?

"Top X time ranks player without points" is a 100% bullshit acheivement.
Whenever I get 60/60 I'll just backroll myself out of it, saying that all my 60+ times are a friend playing, and fakepost 60/60 max. pointless times.
Robert Rune being a ghost is not a unrealistic theory. But it's more a matter of "who would be stupid enough to do that"? lol. I think it's just a culture shock that people who like the difficult stuff rather than spend hours cutting off 2 seconds that are purely tiny optimizations EXIST, and not everyone start off targeting 54, 23, 23, 18, 17, 114, 26, 103.

Well, of course they exist, that part doesn't shock me at all. The weird bit here is how Rune seems to completely avoid a level once he gets close to the point zone (that happens at least once on the harder difficulties as well, it's not just an Agent thing). Also, he does optimize his times pretty often (it's not like they're all bad 1st completions) and several of these optimizations land close to the pointless barrier. Seems highly unlikely to me that he wouldn't fluke at least one point-worthy PR during these little "grinds".
ps - not hating either, I'm just not buying the whole "lol he's so bad" thing. I think it's pretty clear it's just some guy - who may or may not be an already existing Eliter - having fun trying to climb the time ranks while avoiding the points on purpose, like some kind of challenge. It's a bit like me still having Defection 7 on the PD ranks, only even more...
