Title: [WORKOUT THREAD] & Pixel's Friend TRIED AND TRUE Personal Trainer Workout Plan
Post by: RWG on July 17, 2015, 03:03:49 am
My boy iambutpixels recommends this workout plan.  He has a friend who is a personal trainer recommend it to him.  Pixels says that he cut down to 1 Coke/day while doing this and after 2 weeks he had gone from 155lbs to 145lbs with a noticeably flatter stomach (at 5'9".)

--

Day 1: jog 10 minutes.  Increase by one minute a week if possible.  Find the time you begin to hit extreme fatigue and stop.
Day 2: normal pushups 2 x 10, wide pushups 2 x 12, diamond pushups 2 x 8
Day 3: Run 20 seconds, walk 40 for 10-15 minutes
Lunges 2 x 15 (each leg), body weight squats 3 x 25, single leg calf raises 2 x 15 (each leg)
Day 4: repeat day 2
Day 5: Repeat day 1
Day 6: Repeat day 3
Day 7: Rest

I am going to start this when I go up to the cottage sometime next week and hopefully my BOYS who want to get more fit and healthy join in.  Let's go MATES!

Feel free to use this as your progress thread for whatever else you're all working on.

Further recommendations/advice on foods to try:

Blueberries, apples, peaches and mangos are all good and worth a try.  "Blueberries and apples are generally the best for you" according to my trainer/nutritional enthusiast friend.

Vegetables: Spinach, mixed dark greens, broccoli, cucumber, mushrooms.  "Any of these can be added to something else if the flavor isn't totally to your liking, just be reasonable about what you dress it up with.  As always, anything in moderation."

Further advice: "A great rule to go by with vegetables is: The more colorful or darker green, the better.  Iceburg lettuce has almost no nutritional value, for example.  Super light green.  The darker, the better."

"If (you're) consistent with water drinking and meals you will lose weight.  If you don't, you won't.  Simple as that.  It's not easy to stay disciplined but I'd imagine if they're anything like you (meaning me, Pixels) and they're willing to grind out hours at a game, dedication should be natural if they want it.

Also: POP/SODA IN MODERATON OR YOU'RE FUCKED."

Finally, I can safely say that if you don't manage your diet you will not lose the weight regardless of how much you work out.  Eating high octane shit and then working it off will at best keep you status quo.  Eat better and work a sweat up daily and you're fine.  It's a tough lifestyle change but truly, truly, truly, the way your body will feel will make it entirely worth it.

Man that "eating shit and working it off will at best keep you status quo" is really shitty.  Anyways, I'll see what I can do.  Darker vegetables the better is a pretty helpful tidbit.

My man Justin Bieber just posted this to Instagram...GOALS!
