Anything could happen with this loose cannon and his henchmen in office. There will be lots of protests, but will they have any effect? He is a 70yo agitated workaholic sleeping 4h/day, so health could be an issue over the course of four years. Given his polarization and US history, there might be assassination attempts. And he seems like the US president that is a-priori most likely to be removed from office (but maybe not with republican majority in House of Representatives and Senate? idk).
What do you think is the most likely outcome of this term?
-
2023. Second term after beating Democratic nominee Tim Kaine 404 - 134. Water levels suddenly rise so high and the White House is submerged. Trump unfortunately drowns in this natural disaster along with Pence, and Ivanka Trump takes over office.
-
Thought about impeachment for a sec, but pretty much each type of scandal already occured during the election and he still got elected anyway. I don't think he'll be re-elected either, it's literally impossible to run against anyone worse than Hilary, and yet he even barely won. tbh I believe he probably doens't even want the job for more than 4 years. so if that's true, chances of him dying during these 4 years is very slim. That leaves me with "Serves term, not re-elected".
-
He will get re-elected.
The expectations set by the left are that Trump will;
- begin WW3 with... (whom exactly? because it's sure not Russia, whatever)
- force the Supreme court to OVERTURN Roe v Wade, making abortion ILLEGAL and giving women the death penalty for having them
- force the Supreme Court to OVERTURN Obergefell v Hodges, making gay marriage ILLEGAL and giving death penalty for doing so
- creating internment camps ASAP and locking up every single non white person in the USA
- make racist remarks about black people for 4 years (he's never made one)
- stifle dissent among his opponents (he's the most open President to dissent in history)
- turn even the most indifferent Muslims around the world info ISIS warriors because they are "forced to do so" by his racist remarks
It's really just completely absurd, the amount of kool-aid the haters have been drinking over the past 4 years. Because of this, if Trump is even an average-below average President, in the tier of George W Bush or Jimmy Carter, he will be re-elected in a landslide, because he will have massively surpassed expectations. States he didn't quite win but almost did like VA, NH, NV will flip, and stuff like MN, OR, WA could flip too. It'll be a 400+ electoral college blowout, pushing the Democrats even further into irrelevance.
That being said, it's always impossible to predict who the next nominee by the Democrats will be. Obama wasn't a Top 50 prospect in 2004, nor was Trump in 2012. The only democrat who even remotely seems to have the intelligence + wit + charm + right ideas about globalism to run her own campaign as an antithesis to Trump and possibly have a chance right now is Tulsi Gabbard, so if she doesn't run or want it, and someone like a Kaine or O'Malley ends up being the nominee, it'll just be embarrassing.
Trump is like 95% to get re-elected unless the Democrats get lucky with a black swan candidate, like a Trump or Obama in 2020.
-
Trump's going to get up from the couch late one night because he's suddenly craving chocolate milk but when he gets to the kitchen he forgets what he wanted so he sits back down and gets really comfy and then he remembers he wanted chocolate milk, so he gets back up again and goes to the fridge but discovers that there is no chocolate syrup so he has a regular glass of milk and it's really disappointing. He dies in his sleep of a broken heart. Goose starts a kickstarter for a chocolate milk delivery service titled "Make Chocolate Milk Great Again" the very next day. He has a lot of success and uses it to fund the speedmansion.
-
He is a 70yo agitated workaholic sleeping 4h/day, so health could be an issue over the course of four years.
I like this comment. That is indeed way better than most shitters any democratic government gets. I honestly think health won't be an issue at all but that's only baseless conjecture.
My pred is the most obvious one: He takes too many protectionist economic measures, feat. economic fascism, and even though he might make 1000 other things great again, if the economy gets worse, his voters will flip, so no re-election. People who think impeachment is a feasible scenario are out of their minds. Resign/death/coup are more likely scenarios.
-
Impeachments are incredibly rare. It would take something massive and something that cant be ignored to impeach donald. As it stands now, i think he wont get reelected unless dems run someone like cory booker or tim kaine in 2020.
-
Do you think he could be impeached if turns out he made international deals that clearly benefit his own companies? Or something related where he uses his executive power to benefit his businesses? Now I don't believe he actually would do that but it's not that hard to imagine something like that happening, right?
-
There is the emoluments clause:
No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.
However, this can be a pain in the ass to prove, much like malicious intent with James Comey or Hillary Clintons email server. We've never had a president with this large of a business empire, so we're in entirely uncharted territories. In theory, the House could file articles of impeachment if Trump is found to be acting as president for personal profit, though as it stands now with the Republican Party controlling both the House and the Senate, it would be incredibly difficult for anything to come of it. In 1999, Bill Clinton managed to get impeachment filed by the House due in part that the Republican Party controlled the entirety of Congress (as is typical in midterm years; opposition parties benefit from midterms). His impeachment passed in the House but was ultimately acquitted by the Senate, thanks to a few votes flipping on the Republican side. Today however, with partisanship being at an all time high, it will likely only need a democratic party majority in the house and senate in the 2018 midterms to impeach Trump. The likelihood is, again, incredibly slim.
-
Elites around the world are becoming worried af about Donald. A good sign? I don't think so, but it's amusing.

sigh, the reason people fear Trump is because he's a fascist and the fear is america will turn into russia/china/north korea. Nobody really knows how far he'll actually go but so far it's a bad start for those of us who don't want to live in an autocracy--he's done everything so far a fascist does when he starts going into office, banning media, banning departments talking to the media, etc. Getting people to turn on the media/intelligence agencies. That is fascism 101. If we get to 301, I'm definitely gonna have to strongly consider leaving the country for good tho I dunno where to go as canada/europe are all starting to do the same thing. I don't approve of autocracy and a good chunk of people clearly do. because e-mails?
I think he'll get reelected as well despite demographics going against him. People won't care at all if he's a north korean dictator if they feel they're better off (whether they actually are or not is irrel). If he's getting people jobs, they will be happy to re elect him even when the main benefactors by far are companies again. Also many people fall in line, they always do. In fact, he'll probably get more support for going full dictator b/c **** everyone who isn't me.
There is a 0% chance he's getting impeached with his party in control.
He's a bully who now has the most power in the world and people actually think he's gonna quit. *facepalm*
WW3 can start for 2 reasons
1) trump starts nuking stuff and things go south from there. Seems certain we're going back in the middle east at least.
but if so more likely
2) because he's destabilizing europe by pulling out of NATO and the EU is only a few trump or two types away from everyone leaving the EU--if say russia wants to just start taking whatever they want at that point, nobody's gonna stop them without making it a WW3 type coalition. Usa/china won't get in their way so who does that leave? A frenchman isn't gonna sign up to die to in this hypothetical to save germany.
obv the rest no lib said or said all but the ending part of ridiculousness but that's standard goose.
People got to stop using laws in these arguments--laws to trump are just annoying things lawyers deal with, and then he just bribes them after that. In his mind, they don't apply to him. They usually never have.
For people assuming we're gonna have an election in 4 years with a democratic challenger. Nobody can say for sure that's gonna happen since it doesn't in an autocracy.
-
Wheatrich's scenarios sure aren't optimistic but he does raise some good points
*He's done everything so far a fascist does when he starts going into office, banning media, banning departments talking to the media, etc. Getting people to turn on the media/intelligence agencies. That is fascism 101.
While true that these are all signs of fascism, I do not believe that Trump will go as far as normal fascist dictators/authoritarians. Even the greatest democracies in the world have the potential to fall apart. As far as I am aware, President Trump hasn't gone as far as to ban media from press conferences, though Sean Spicer did confront the CNN correspondent at his presser last week following the dossier leak that he may be banned from future press conferences. (Again, his lashing at CNN was unjustified in this case. They simply reported Trump was briefed on the dossier, including making multiple notes in their broadcast that they were unverified claims. Buzzfeed is the one that should be chastized, not CNN. Trump is just projecting to CNN to increase mistrust for the network. He could be playing the long game here). Onto the gag order issue. During the inauguration, for those who don't know, the Trump administration put a gag order on the Interior Department and the EPA. Why is still up in the air (depending on if you believe Sean Spicer). This could be a good or bad sign. Again, I don't know the intent. If any pro trump supporters want to explain to me, that'd be wonderful.
*I think he'll get reelected as well despite demographics going against him. People won't care at all if he's a north korean dictator if they feel they're better off (whether they actually are or not is irrel). If he's getting people jobs, they will be happy to re elect him even when the main benefactors by far are companies again.
I'd be inclined to agree with this. The fact that the democratic firewall fell on election night is a clear indicator that trade deals have royally fucked that region and people were willing to leave the democratic party in favor a populist. If Trump can get anything stimulating to the job market in that region, its very likely Trump takes those states again in 2020. This mainly rests on who the democratic party runs in 2020. If they run another HRC type candidate (Cory Booker or Julian Castro for example) then they'll get slaughtered by Trump again. What the democrats need is a populist type force to regain blue support in the rust belt, as well as adhering to Democratic social values. (Dunno who this could be, but potential candidates include another Bernie Sanders run, Tulsi Gabbard or Elizabeth Warren).
*There is a 0% chance he's getting impeached with his party in control.
I'd put this more at 1%. Republicans like Mike Pence more than Donald Trump.
*He's a bully who now has the most power in the world and people actually think he's gonna quit.
Maybe? We'll have to wait and see on this one.
Lastly onto the nuking issue. There is a bill sitting in the house right now that has gained some traction that Congress must sign off the ability to use nukes (I have some hope, but its incredibly unlikely this even leaves committee). MAD is still a thing. As long as we're not dumb enough to seek out war with Iran (which John Bolton has openly said he supports *vomit*), we SHOULD be okay. Tensions with Russia will likely cool in comparison to what we'd see with a Hillary presidency. I'm inclined to believe Trump isn't dumb enough to shoot off a nuke at a mid-major country. Regarding the rise of the nationalist far-right in Europe, the French elections in a few months will tell us how prominent this has become. i.e. was Brexit a fluke? Should Marine Le Pen (somehow) win the French runoff, we should start to get concerned, as its very clear this movement is here to stick.
tl;dr We should live 4 years, keep an eye on France

Getting people to turn on the media/intelligence agencies

Wheatrich is a globalist shill. Actually supporting the EU? Yeah, let's just make One World Government and elect Hillary Clinton to be Our Faithful Leader and Empress of the Planet. That'll be perfect.
Trump's election has tilted Wheat so hard that he's no longer capable of rational thought, and makes me wonder if he's tilted back in time to a point where he was never capable of such a thing.

Obviously the EU is important for Europe on many levels. However, the extent of how far UE legislation should go and the intensity in which countries work together is another discussion ofcourse. I believe that the biggest problem is that politics feel completely cut off from the people. You choose people to represent you, and after that they do nothing but work internationally while every country faces serious domestic issues. People feel completely unheard and not taken seriously to that effect. Even Obama always felt more like a president of the world and not of the US. A lot of people mistake anti-Europe minded people with a far right movement, but really these parties are often the only parties that offer the a voice in this problem. Hence Trump (America First!), Geert Wilders, Marie le Pen, etc becoming so popular. Most of the people who vote these far right movement are disappointed left voters. IMO politics created this enviroment entirely themselves for completely losing touch with the people that actually live in their country, even if their moral compass is sound and they actually make things better for your country. People just don't feel it that way any longer. Add to that: the only images we are presented by media these days are endless bags of money flowing towards countries that mess up their economies, angry people voting UK out of the EU and people from poor countries taking over jobs for lower rates. No shit people are going to feel disconnected and vote someone who promises to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. People are going to start believing in fairytales.
Concerning the US, It's just a big f shame / absolutely hilarious that the democratic party has become a BIGGER lair of elites than the republicans, and that a country actually felt more connected with a egocentric billionaire. That'a a major accomplishment! Think whatever you want about Bernie Sanders, but at least people felt connected to him. Thanks to the beautiful party of the dems they made sure Hilary was "elected" over him (honestly I believe the democratic primaries was entirely corrupt and manipulated towards Hilary). In that way the US completely got the president they deserve.
I agree with Wheat about Trump as pres showing some very questionable behaviour already, but IMO the WWIII fears are ridiculous. It's not the end of the world. The man will probably build a million factories, pipelines, etc. The only thing he ever learned in his life was building things, so that's what he'll do. In the process he'll most likely create many jobs, bend all the rules, break every ethic law, step on everyone's toes and undo every bit of social progress the US made during the last 8 years, but ey everyone knew that beforehand.
-
Not with a whimper but with a bang.
-
^ that *BANG* will be Don Jr, Ivanka or Pence getting elected in 2024
Cara - What "social progress" did you see in the USA in the last 8 years? The only things I saw were the destruction of the nuclear family (children raised without a father, especially in black communities, is at a all time high,) race relations were BETTER under George W Bush somehow... aside from gay marriage being made legal I see more regression than progress. And gay marriage will never be overturned unless Islam somehow takes over the USA. I'd be willing to bet every penny I make from now until Jan 20, 2025 that Obergefell v Hodges doesn't get overturned by then.
-
Cara - What "social progress" did you see in the USA in the last 8 years?
Yeah I knew when I wrote that it would create some sort of controversy :nesquik: obviously progress is very subjective.
-
Yeah I knew when I wrote that it would create some sort of controversy :nesquik: obviously progress is very subjective.
No, it actually isn't. Those things Goose said - worse race relations, worse family structures - are they ever a good thing?
For example, if a region's murder rates rise, saying it's bad is "subjective"?
Let's slow down with the moral relativism if we want to keep the human race alive, shall we?
-
I don't think WWIII is gonna happen either, that requires a worthy opponent to fight back. Europe doesn't have that much in military forces atm in comparison.
Since my last post trump threatened chicago with martial law because he watched fox news.
and eliminated global aid if the word abortion could possibly be used in a sentence, which will lead to preventable deaths which will make pro life people happy.
basically declared war against gangs and illegal immigrants
Doubled down on the voter fraud claim, despite no evidence of millions of fraud votes. Most of us are presuming it'll conclude that there were fraud votes (made up) and that somehow they're only democrats (naturally most of the public will conclude only democrats are doing it). They'll use it to claim a new registry and put in more hoops to disenfranchise people from signing up or poll taxes or whatever bullshit they'll come up with.
Also ignoring a tornado disaster in georgia despite the repeated pleas for federal aid.
Regardless of your views, I hope you realize that one party forever is a very bad thing. As much as it's deserved democrats aren't in charge anymore because **** them; a kleptocracy is much worse.
-
oh right and torture's back
we're not even one week in
america is going to look a lot different in a year. Things like rights might not even be a thing. :/
and the elimination of science reports released without trump's approval, forgot that one too.

Wheatrich
- literally advocating for the EU to have its own military
- thinks that trying to stop black people from killing each other in Chicago is "martial law"
- thinks declaring war on gangs is bad
- "things like rights might not be a thing"
Oh man oh boy just wow
-
bannon (trump's strategist) openly called the media the enemy and they flat out are controlling the narrative like we're in china or russia.
There will be attacks on free speech/protests/etc. Everyone already knows what the conclusion of the voter fraud investigation will be despite nobody but him thinking there's any evidence and everyone thinks punishment will be handed down as a result.
(chicago gets unfairly bashed by the right media b/c of their gun restrictions but it's only like 10th or 9th* in US cities taking population #'s to # of murders into acct, many of those ahead of them in that regard are full 2nd amendment rights southern cities) Yes, that's bad but it's nowhere near what everyone watching fox news thinks.
This president literally uses the same words he saw on fox news when he tweets against things. He's done it twice already. One news station is dictating policy while the others are seemingly going to be banned. But yeah we're totally not turning into an autocracy.
They've already sent feds in (there are feds there now) and it's done nothing mostly b/c they don't know shit about chicago. The only thing that makes any sense from his tweet about it is he means martial law.
*st.louis is 1 but that doesn't count the suburbs so they aren't actually up there

every scientist, business owner, professional poker player, and lawyer I know jokes about what a complete moron trump is with the sole exception of a 500 pound man who probably inherited his ridiculous fireworks business anyway (but not even he really likes trump, he's just always republican and hates hillary - w/e, he's also the worst poker player out of them all, not by coincidence I believe).
look at those who denounce trump vs those who support him. you're kidding yourself if you think those in the latter camp have a higher IQ on average. it's a simple fact that he won the uneducated white vote by a landslide and lost everywhere else. look up a list of top colleges in the US, the more of them that are in a state, the higher support for Hillary in that state. the states with the most trump support? alabama. georgia. mississippi. the uneducated white vote, that's where he crushed it. good for you guys.
he's on par with and has policy closer to george w bush (who gave us the recession, housing crisis, bank collapse, etc) and if you really believe that we were better off back in his term than we were since obama took over then you're incredibly blind and probably brainwashed. either way an idiot. trump is just lucky that mcdonalds is so popular in this country b/c if its patrons weren't allowed to vote then he wouldn't be in office, plain and simple.
trump ran a business bankrupt by trying to sell steak in a Bearder shop. it takes me less than a second to realize what an unprofitable, moronic move that is. if you want to eat steak, you don't go to a barbershop. why would you risk getting hair in your food? it just sounds completely unappetizing. so the only business the restaurant is getting are from ppl who are getting their hair cut, and how often do you get your hair cut? the point is that even his "regulars" are only going to be around every month or so. say goodbye to business from families - almost everyone who goes to a barbershop goes alone. say goodbye to business from women, would you go to a hair salon to eat steak? he's obviously an idiot, I'm sorry. facts only, I'm not trying to troll. don't even respond b/c there's nothing to argue about - I simply stated facts. you can't argue with facts. you might as well argue with google anyway so type your pissed off rants that will only serve to make you look like an idiot into google's search engine, and then save yourself the embarrassment and just delete it.

Poker players are total losers who kiss billionaires' asses for a living, and think that they belong to some 'intellectual elite'. Scientists are leftist bullshitters who have zero sense of economics or human interaction. Lawyers and big business owners actually benefit from the establishment, so they will obviously shittalk about Trump.

poker players, scientists, business owners, and lawyers are a lot smarter than the average person, I'm sorry. btw, way to refute my points, I guess? not like you even tried. you basically admit that what I said was true but that it doesn't matter, which is a major ****ing joke. I played goldeneye as a kid and used to try to beat my own times. I used a lot of the strats I see you guys using such as running and strafing while looking to the side and down but I doubt I came close to these times. not that I couldn't, it takes a couple minutes (MAX) of playing perfectly (inputting the correct sequence of buttons, which doesn't even require that many inputs per second to be all that challenging). that's what brought me here. what kept me here: speedrunners are intriguing to me. you play the same decades old game for hours a day in an obsessive attempt to prove things that only matter to a specific kind of person. the fact that this kind of person is so commonly delusional in so many areas makes for a unique psychological profile, one of which makes you interesting to talk to. I initially created the account b/c of Marc Rutzou - the fact that he's one of the best at a lot of GE related things while being clearly mentally ill and delusional is perplexing and I wanted to figure him out by talking to others like him. the combination of arrogance and extreme stupidity bewilders me.
I'd love to hear the logic behind: "poker players make a living by kissing billionaires' asses for a living." how the hell do you translate "reading opponents and playing appropriately based on those reads in combination with playstyles" to "kissing billionaires' asses"? how does that equate? then again, based on your average words per sentence, letters per word, failure to see why the facts clearly demonstrate what makes trump the inferior candidate by miles, and obvious lack of logic/critical thinking skills, I don't really think I need your response to know the answer to that question. there clearly is no answer, but being what you are, I'm certain that you still believe it to be true regardless of whether or not any evidence supports the claim. you can't honestly believe that the majority of poker professionals get loans, can you? the general rule of thumb is: you don't lend a poker player money b/c (obviously) if he was good he wouldn't need the loan.
I suppose those at the very, very top who have ALREADY PROVEN that they're among the best, but don't want to risk losing millions, will accept other ppl's money to play with - effectively eliminating the risk/stress factor while still making half the money that they otherwise would have made. it's a fair trade off and no "ass kissing" needs to be done for those guys to get loans, I promise you. whoever will loan him money for the lowest amount of his wins, he'll go with. why does HE need to kiss THEIR asses when they're the ones who have to bid for what is essentially free money in the long run? oh and btw those "billionaires" are smart enough to support clinton anyway, despite the fact that trump and republican policy in general are good for the bottom line of corporations (less taxes and restrictions at the expense of the environment and happiness of the common man). gold futures rose tremendously the second trump took florida. (seeing as how illogical and dumb trump supporters are, let me explain what that means: it isn't "good b/c your gold is worth more!" it just means that the dollar became worth less. your money became worth less thanks to trump, instantly. BAD for the economy. simple enough for you? buy gold, you might need it. then sell it when a smart, intelligent person like obama takes office again and prevents inflation as well as obama did)
-
"oh no, Trump failed 5 of his 273 businesses, what a FAILURE!"
this is what children and adultchildren who have never succeeded in any aspect of their life say
it's the extremely moronic way in which he failed. he couldn't foresee how a restaurant/barbershop was doomed to fail? this isn't "hindsight," it's very common sense. the man is a moron and every smart person I know agrees. the only reason he has billions is b/c of his dad, he doesn't have any inherent skills that justify his status. he got extremely lucky due to factors completely unrelated to himself. if he had the IQ of bill gates he'd have been the first trillionaire by now.
I don't even know how you read all of what I typed and your thoughts on it only amount to a sentence. but then, that's what makes you a trump supporter. I'm sure you think you're smart too, it's bizarre. move to alabama where you'll find like-minded ppl and be happier.
