This question is invalid because our AceCorp models predict that there are at least two untieds on this list expected to last forever. It also states that 1:47 S1 will be tied first.

Train 57 might be too much for me to get before retiring and/or losing the muscle response time/OCB to have a chance. Ace can get it I believe while he's still in his prime, but if he lets it slip it could be out of his reach after a certain point. Clemens has shown incredible skill on Train Agent in the past but sadly doesn't have PAL, and I don't believe he will ever be in a position to go for 57. Daniel is a great player and a very solid Train Agent player but I can't realistically see him getting 57. Illu is very good at Train Agent but 57 is probably out of reach for him, or he will get it uncaptured so it won't count anyway. Henrik likely lost 58 on his 59 but I don't really see a 57 from him. Alex looks like he's done with Goldeneye now. No other player has even an outside chance to get 57 at this point in time.
Frigate 58 is interesting because the skill factor isn't quite as high as is for Train 57, but 58 pace is really starting to push it... Combined with pretty awful A completion odds on SA I'd say picking 58 to last the longest is an okay pred. But in my mind there are most players capable of Frigate 58 than Train 57.
Time has told us that an UWR with extremely degenerate strats, that don't also combine insane skill, just solid skill, will get tied. So as cooked as Boss' 1:24 is, it'll be tied before some of the WRs on the list. The level also seems more breakable than something like Train Agent - with a new nade throw strat or cam shot strat, or god forbid triple nade run.

I think a good strat for this is to simply think about which times are least improvable . For example , s2 124 is degenerate but since 120 is possible , it makes it a target for anyone who wants a doable untied. Literally the ONLY REASON anyone will play train is to Tie 57 which is something only me or ace would find worth our time. And since I will likely never have pal, ace is our only option for this. I don't see him grinding for it quite yet, especially since he has 59 which is in reality quite far off 57 still, even 58 is.
Frigate 58 is similar, but the main dif is the strat can still be improved. Ogran recently found you can shoot phantom bullets before bridge room to lure guards and pause in a better spot for last hostage taker , and who knows maybe some other strat will be found and a double pipe warp will be viable . In any case I think it's more likely someone will fluke 58 here than train 57.
My vote goes to train 57 even though I've always said it's kinda overrated . It is but in the end it's the least likely to get tied atm.

Looks like the only remaining untied of the bunch is Frigate SA 57.
This came in 2nd place, so a lot of folks made good predictions.

Of the current untieds I think Bunker 1 SA 0:20 has a good chance of remaining untied for a considerable amount of time. The camera shots are so perfect, excellent boosts, perfect movement, warp etc it's almost like watching a TAS.
With all that necessary on such a short level to achieve the time it must be an extremely intimidating record to go for and a massively frustrating grind for even the top B1 players. I'll never get tired of watching that run. It's Goldeneye played to perfection.

A lot of similar arguments could be made for Fac 42, both are truly masterpiece runs performed by one of the games true masters. It might be unfair to choose but, gun to my head, I think Fac 42 will stand longer than B1 20. Obviously, there is no concrete evidence to support this prediction, it's just an opinion.

You make a good point, Facility 0:42 is a stunning record and the TNS proves how tight it must be.
I find it quite astonishing how Ace is seemingly capable of pushing either game so much farther than the many other very skilled players with equal if not more years of experience. His current run of success in PD is testament to this.
When the recent poll was made asking whether he'll get 60/60 in PD I really didn't think it's a question of ability, more so motivation. If he wants to, he will.
Some other WRs must be such a pain in the arse to grind for with the luck required for certain objectives and those might be off putting for any player and therefore extend their longevity I suppose but it only takes one commited mind. Always fascinating stuff and always good to hear a different opinion :)

Fac 42 is amazing beyond words, and should not be underestimated as a long-standing untied.
It will, however, be tied within the next ~2 years. Facility Agent is a top tier stage, maybe the most satisfying to play in either game. I wouldn't put it past someone like Wodahs or Swiss, maybe Joris or Gus to tie it.

Aztec 00A 1:35 is slowly becoming one of the sleeper untieds of all time.
Dam 52 and Runway 28 also seem unlikely to be tied any time soon, as unpopular as that opinion might be. I don't see anyone dedicating the 300 hours needed for Dam 52 quite yet (all threats to go for it seem to have been empty), and it doesn't seem anyone is interested in becoming the new double-R-Lean master.
The Egypt 44s are pretty damn cooked, that's for sure too.
Honestly, it's just insane that 30 of the game's 60 WRs are currently untied. Like wtf? Wow.

Wally, when he plays, has been putting in some decent attempts at Runway 00.
29 fail that might have been 30/31 if he waited before entering the plane, you can see the last drone through the window (the only one that didn't blow) at the end, maybe a 3rd or 4th wave would have taken it out.
