The bracket's been set and the pool is ready for our 18th year of picking the NCAA men's basketball tourney results!  The competition will be hosted on ESPN as always; here's the link

After you sign in there should be a link to "rejoin groups" if you played with us last year, but if not no worries.  Just do a search for

On Tuesday night at 9pm Central in Dino Chat, that's where you get $100 and try to win as many good teams as possible in an auction.  If you'd be interested in joining this year, post something here.

For those of you interested in the Madness Auction, there's probably a cap of like....10-12ish participants so get in early if you're planning on playing.  Also it is important that all participants are present at the appointed time.  If you aren't there when the auction begins, you won't be allowed to join late.

I'll just casually with little knowledge fill out a bracket for the fun of it and will totally put my favorite team Nova to lose in the Championship game (they'll be less likely to win if I pick them).

QB simulated the bracket 10,000 times to determine the Average Value of owning each team in our Auction.  You can see the full team by team predictions in the new Point Projections tab of the sheet, but here's what it gave us for an owners breakdown:

Jimbo - 35 points expected
Austin - 45
Gabby - 46
Nate - 47
Kyle - 48
Ng - 50
Third - 51
QB - 59
Thingy - 66

Congrats to Thingy, undisputed Paper Champion of 2018!  But we'll see if the real returns are as favorable...

Best team of the tournament: Gonzaga, returning 13.8 points on average.  Mich State is close behind though, at 13.6.

QB's Mich St. projection didn't come to pass, it's true, but you have to admit his formula is looking mighty fine re: Gonzaga as the most valuable team, what with literally other contender on the left side of the bracket crashing and burning!
