Now that MOAM is over, I thought I'd make a thread for all the pictures/clips/vids/experiences.
I'll add more of my thoughts later, but for now:
It was truly great to meet a ton of new faces, and hang out with the mates without the normal sweaty hotel room vibe :kappa:
Everybody that came out, big thanks for making it a great time - I think this year proved we can have our own big standalone meet, with or without coinciding with a GDQ.
Next year we'll get a Villa for the week :nesquik:

I was REALLY happy to see everyone - met some new faces (except for Kevin and John, rip) and got to hang with the boys and play a few rounds of Kart! I'm also sorry I missed seeing Derek.
Thanks for the delicious burger, Tyler :pimp:
You guys had a great setup there. Looked super comfy.

So this was such an amazing week and the only way i could've enjoyed it more is if there were more mates! Just want to thanks everyone for just being super nice fun people to hang out with, being welcoming of the uk bois i brought with me and just being all around great people :) Feel like friendships got a lot closer now I've met a lot of you IRL and can't wait to do it again many times! Very glad i made the trip to come meet all my mates and would more than happily do it again!
MASSIVE SPECIAL THANKS To jonwell and tyler for going way above and beyond for this meet doing a lot in the background, the best mates and couldn't ask for better people to be in the community!

Great pics, guys. It looks like a lot of good moments were captured. Based on some of those photos Sammy must have really drank himself under the table.

TL;DR; upfront: MOAM was an overall success in my opinion. I had a great time, enjoyed meeting everyone, and am super keen to do more meets moving forward (with a lot better understanding of the logistics of a meet this size!)
First up, thank you so so so so much to Tyler for ultimately making this happen. He took the initiative on the BnB, fronted a lot of the bill, and took responsibility for keeping shit on track logistically, including driving people around. On top of that, he was kind enough to pick me up @ the airport and let me crash at his place (Thank you to Keira, too!) Having some good food and a few beers with him and Tee Minus (and his dad) on Day 0 was a good way to settle in after my flight and before being locked in a townhouse with a couple dozen dudes for a few days.
Of the people I had interacted with prior to MOAM, everyone was as cool or far cooler in person than I had anticipated. Even better, I got to meet and talk to people I never had before. Really awesome to "know" people as more than just names and PRs now. Everyone was friendly, positive, helpful, and sociable. It was super easy to fall in as one of the boys instantaneously.
The BnB itself was superb. The complementary snacks and stuff really helped out before we could go shopping. All the air mattresses really helped out, as well as all the linens and towels, etc. The location wasn't ideal (see: MOAMathon 2) but it's probably the best we could have done for the area. The sleeping situation wasn't as horrid as expected with the # of people, and everyone did a good job not destroying the place.
I hate that I was only able to stay half the time. It would have been nice to have some more quality chill & chat time with everyone at the BnB, as well as getting some speedrunning in (just did an hour or so of Cradle A attempts the whole time.) Beating PD with everyone yelling at me to not be so bad is an Epic Gamer memory I'll never lose, though. I enjoyed setting up the stream and learned how far you can push OBS (and Josh's PC.)
When we decide to have MOAM 2 (it's inevitable), I'll definitely be making every effort to go. Whether it's going to be around AGDQ 2020, or a midwest meet, or wherever, I think we learned a lot with this experience that we'll collectively be able to pick an ideal setup to host around 20 people comfortably and conveniently. I hope to see everyone again and, for those that I may never see in person again, I am richer for having known you!

MOAM was great and it was amazing to meet everyone. I can't wait to see what's in store for MOAM 2.

One extra thought: hot rope jump was definitely one of my favorite parts of the meet.
