By far the most interesting first round game isn't in primetime, tsk tsk tsk. (Murray State vs Marquette)

Ng claims he picked them to lose!

well at least this blowout was still better than every game in primetime, because for some reason they had to show 1 and 2 seed projected beatdowns over two clear top 10 picks in the draft going h2h. Shame a couple lower seeds just flat out choked upsets or it would've been a darn solid day 1.
-
Here's the auction update after the first round is complete:
Place Manager Points Teams Alive
1 Thingy 49 6
2 Kyle 41 5
3 Ngamer 34 4
3 QB 34 5
5 Wiff 28 4
6 Gabby 24 5
7 Third 14 3
Thingy off to a big lead with the most teams alive, but several teams not favored to win in the next round. Gabby sits near the bottom of the pile, but he's got five teams alive including some that could win it all. Third and Wiff need to keep as many teams alive as possible to have any hope of winning it all.
Check back Sunday for the Round 2 update!

March Mehness
-
Second round down, another update!
Place Manager Points Teams Alive
1 Kyle 58 3
2 QB 54 3
2 Thingy 54 1
4 Gabby 41 4
5 Ngamer 39 1
6 Wiff 36 2
7 Third 23 2
Thingy goes from top of the heap to mid-pack, losing 5 of 6 games in the worst day for anyone. Kyle and QB zoom on up past him with 3 teams alive each, both are in prime position to take the title. Gabby's a little ways back and has 4 teams alive, but most of them are top seeds and he could be gapped by a single streaking low seeded team. Ngamer, Wiff, and Third round out the standings, all still sort of alive, but basically on life support.
Hopefully Ng will chime in with a nice bracket pool update too!
-
The third round is done, and here we are!
Place Manager Points Teams Alive
1 Kyle 64 1
2 QB 62 2
3 Thingy 54 0
4 Gabby 53 2
5 Wiff 46 2
6 Ngamer 45 1
7 Third 23 0
Rough round for Third and Thingy who have now gone from having the most total teams to the first two totally eliminated with no chance to score more points. Third will finish in 7th place and Thingy will finish no better than 4th but no worse than 5th.
Everyone else is still alive but QB and Kyle have a commanding lead over the other 3.
-
Fourth round done! Four teams remain....and four managers! Close battle here.
Place Manager Points Teams Alive
1 QB 67 1
2 Kyle 64 0
3 Gabby 62 1
4 Thingy 54 0
5 Ngamer 52 1
5 Wiff 52 1
7 Third 23 0
Kyle has been eliminated and passed by QB.
Ng and Wiff have also been eliminated from contention for the win.
So the only game that really matters is Auburn vs Virginia. QB or Gabby will be our champion based on that result.
-
Only one game left, let's check on the standings!
Place Manager Points Teams Alive
1 QB 73 1
2 Kyle 64 0
3 Gabby 62 0
4 Ngamer 60 1
5 Thingy 54 0
6 Wiff 52 0
7 Third 23 0
Yowza! Since Ng and Wiff were already eliminated last round, Virginia's win has decided the Auction Champion....
It's QB!
Congrats to QB on a great championship. Now let's see if he can get to 80 points with a big win in the finals.
-
ng getting the champ right but loses b/c he spent all his points on teams that were gonna meet in the second round is pretty much classic ngamer.
-
Congrats to Larenspear for coming out on top in the bracket!

Indeed! And on being the only one who actually picked the correct winner this year. Talk about running away with it!
