Title: Facility agent info
Post by: Mathieu de carufel on May 27, 2019, 10:29:13 am
Hey guys! My PB for facility agent was 50 secondes. I havent been able to get the guard to open the door with the 12 bullets and go thru clean cause i think i wasnt enough fast.  But this morning i did it 4 times and went thru very clean! My question is : if i go thru the first door with a clean warp and i go thru the second door very clean because the guard opened it enough fast, does that mesn that my start is clutch or i can still save 1-2 secondes before?

In other word, what minimum pace you need to get a clean go thru?

If you're the latest possible to open door pace you'll probably get 0:47 or 0:46 if you play the ending accordingly

Thabks a lot! Now i know i can get 46-47 if i play the end well :) will be a big gap from 50 to 47-48! That would be my first points in the ranking!

I think technically you need a 45 second pace start for proper open door pace. As Ricky said that could turn into a 46 or 47 for you but you are doing the segment up until the 3 guard hallway at at least 45 pace speed.

Nice thanks Irie! Now i know what the pace looks like from the vent to the hallway! I can now know when to restart my runs when i dont get that pace. Averagely i get 16 secondes at the controlled door if i miss the click earlyer. This afternoon i got a 15 sec pause at that point. I just need to get the guard to open it more times so my heart doesnt go wild at that point you know! Seems like when i get the door opened, the rest of the run gets less clutch. Ill work on that!

15-16 seconds is a good pauseout, especially if you switch to the detonator before the pause.

Yet i got 2x 45sec fail cause a tank didn't blow. Ill keep playing this lvl until i get my gv-usb2 card to record. I dont want to go for the easy point dam bunker archives and runway cause i wont have a video of it and points wont count and i dont wanna hit the WR twice haha. But im getting more and more consistent for the 12 bullet door opening :) and im starting to be consistent with the warp right after !

Ohh and Irie, ive seen ur stream about looking right at the final door before trev and ive conclude as well that you get the good trevs way more consistently!

 :D
You should never fail the tanks, it's very easy to complete every time once you understand what's happening. Imagine the set of tanks are the X's...
XX
XX--- throw mine above the crack in between these two
XX
XX--- throw mine below the crack in between these two, and on the right side, not left of the crack or you'll kill trev

No sweat just wanted to give you the hot tips so even with the highest nerves ever it's impossible to fail the tanks, only the Trev leave.

Thanks i appreciate every tips :)

I really think facility is the best level to really get good used to 1.2 because after you can hit 45-47, you can adapt really quick to other levels. I was bored today of playing facility so i said hey why not try streets SA? Within 1 hour i got a 1:57 sec run. Just need a good valentine exit timing for some points :) it took me 2 good month on facility to get used to 1.2 but now i see that it pays off and it motivates me to keep going for good times :)

Thanks!

Yeah me too. I played on 1.1 so much bc i refused to learn 1.2.
I played endless Runway agent, and then went to facility when i felt comfortable. Its a great test of skill when changing to a new control style

Yeah for sure! And there is so much thing to do correctly to clutch this level! As soon as i receive my gv-usb2 and i record a 45sec run, ill be done for a while on facility. Meanwhile i practice streets a lot for great straffing lines too. I got 4x 1:14 runs without GL. I dont know if this is a good time lol

1:14 without a grenade launcher is really good dude! You could easily get 1:13 with the GL.

Yeah that is a good time but 1:13 is a solid time with the 1 GL strat. However, I highly recommend watching Organ's Streets Agent Tutorial for more detailed info on how the 1 GL strat works.

1:13 with one gl is cake, especially if you can get a 45 on facility agent. 1:12 with one gl is hard and very luck based but 1:13 is not hard in the slightest assuming your skill on harder levels

Yeah i constently get 1:15 and good boost runs gives me 1:14. I feel like 1:13 with 1GL would be cake but i just never went for the strat. Just using street at the moment for line mastering.

Unfortunat'y my gv-usb2 got back to the seller after 2 weeks of waiting so i canceled it and ordered one that should arrive between june 18-20. I just dont wanna get into a level that i actually have a chance to get 94ish points without recording... i keep on practicing hard tho! And i cannnnt wait to post some 45-46s facility so i can get comments about what to do better.

IT HAPPENED! FACILITY 45! Huge thanks to irie for explanations! Only took 2 sessions with the adjustments i needed. Now based on my video you guys think i can go for 44? I missed the lab warp  and i could save tenth on the end hallway. What you guys think?

Pretty insane getting 45 this early, but 44 is very much doable if you're willing to put in the time for it.

Figured I would ask in this thread...

what am I doing wrong when there's a guard right in front of the objective A door, and no sign of said door being opened? Is it just luck? It doesn't happen TOO often, but when it does, it's quite annoying.

shooting too early and causing the guard to warp through the door instead of open it

Whenever that happened to me it was because I got stuck on a guard or the wall before turning the corner.

Using full lookdown will have the same effect IIRC

Basically you've got to have the door loaded before he gets to it, otherwise he warps it.

You don't have to be lucky or super fast, just don't fuck up too badly and everything will be fine.
