I usually buy rotini from the store because it is cheap, available in lots of varieties, and cooks evenly without much extra effort.

Fettuccine: it eclipses its contemporaries (linguine, spaghetti, other long strand pastas) in every way.

Ravioli and Gnocchi are also incredible.
