Good morning, everyone,
I have been following the Goldeneye speedrun for several years.
But not speaking English, there’s some information I can’t find.
I have the impression that some of the top 5 players do not have the same objective. Some play to be #1 like Luke and David but not Rayan and Marc who have times that would be easily improved for them.
Would someone be so kind as to give me the goals of the current top 10 players?

Well you see everyone's goals are different, and some people change their minds with their priorities. Luke is defending as champ and posts wild wrs when he has the time to play. Clemens thinks about the path to regaining champ but then realizes the degen levels he has to play so he jails himself for a hard stage/wr instead. Marc played 2 years for silo 59 and has nothing else to prove, barring finishing the silo untied sweep but can't blame him not wanting to play that shit. Boss doesn't play at all and sees how long he keeps his rank while inactive. Karl is going for dual champ, currently ranked at 8 in GE, approx 250 points off first place so naturally he plays for 3 point gains :kappa:. And then Jimbo has always been defending his top ten rank, just for a while it wasn't clear who he was defending it from; so now with Gus and I only points off from booting him out of top ten forever he's just trying to stay afloat for as many extra days as he gets, presumably taking screenshots along the way :nesquik:
The rest are probably hoarding times so we have no idea what their objectives are

Jimbo - Finish building his house
Karl - 100k Youtube subs also
Swiss - Finish Paper Mario
Boss - Idk, a job promotion probably
Marc - Obtain enough money to pay his rent through minimum stream time
Clemens - 3 plate bench
Ace - Get a visa to study in the US
Wodahs - Gain permission from Cynthia to regrow his moustache
Luke - Design the next Guggenheim

In retrospect I met all my goals and reached my peak in 2015 in point total, and that all my times were worth 85 or more points. Irie and Gus will pass me pretty soon and I'm hoping to have earned a legacy of consistency and stability for a long time. About 10 combined years in the top 10.
