Very recently, ExpertGamer has surfaced again and started watching a lot of my PD streams with some minor interest in coming back. I was in a call with ragequit at the time and we first thought this "Sanctana" guy or whatever twitch was, was a troll. But it turned out to be Expert and he was fairly active in my chat both yesterday and today, and who knows for how long. With him talking about an epic comeback i was wondering who would you love to see come back to GoldenEye or Perfect Dark.
MouserScribe
One of my personal favourite character stories and i'm sad he isn't playing now that i'm active in the community. He seemed like a jolly guy with burn still left in him to play. We can only hope that he's hoarding of some kind.
dsx
One of my favourite players ever. Maybe it's silly to put him on this list since there are other people who have been absent for way longer. But it's clear that the spark for GoldenEye has left jono a little bit. If you begin playing actively someday again, i'm there for the ride.
Madoka
Personal choice here of course. Madoka was a way better player than me when i started playing and if she had stayed in the community and played throughout 2019. She would have been a part of the new wave of people cusping on the top 10-5 range. (Kev B, Pauliwood, BK, Dr. Light, me) I still miss her a lot.
Your Eliteness
Truly a player of excellence for his time. It's insane how difficult it was to pass a player who set the majority of his PRs in 2004 and 2005. If he played today i think he could still be a beast.
Denis Lucid
For obvious reasons, Denis Lucid would have been an invaluable member in the community to finding new strategies. No clue where he went but let's hope he's doing alright.
Chuya Takizawa
Chuya i feel was held back by bad recording equipment and hardware. And all of his runs were unfortunately terminated because of his YouTube using too many copyrighted songs. A really good player for his time and i would have loved to see what he could have pulled off if he kept playing into the twitch era.
Wouter Jansen
We all hope that Wouter comes back. It's a dream. Easily one of the nicest guys i've ever met in the community. He isn't afraid to talk to new members and ask how they are doing or discuss life or strategies in our beloved games.
Samuel Haycock
Easily one of the most underrated players AND streamers in the-elite. I think if he came back and played it would make for some really entertaining streams and it's for certain that some top players are losing points.
Eise Smit
Despite how long he has played, Eise can do damage to the ranks in the modern era. I don't blame him for not wanting to play through. Eventually you burn out, but a comeback for Eise would be SICK.
Greenounet
Green more or less stopped playing when i joined the community. I'm fortunate that i got to meet him at MOAM, but i really wish he kept playing afterwards. One of the greatest modern Perfect Dark players of all time.
JustinDT
Same story as green. I'm happy i got to meet you at MOAM and i think you would have started shredding the rankings today.
Jezz
Maybe one day we will see the return of Jezz. I cannot stress how much i admire his Deep Sea PA 3:02. It's one of my favourite runs ever performed and i hope his life is going in the right direction so we can see an epic return, some day.
Hedsnow
One person i definitely should keep in contact with more often. We were very close during League of 2018 which is when i joined the community. All i know is that he couldn't play due to his neighbourhood being shady and his life situation not being the best. In fact i think it's time to shoot him a message.
This post is a tribute to the people above and even if you don't plan on playing i hope you know that i appreciate the times you have set and who you are and what you have done for the community. Thanks a lot

All three chaps who are obviously very busy but it'd be cool to chat it up with them and see them play
-
Mouser, Jezz, and Boss. My top 3 inspirations.
-
Seeing Boss come back would be inspirational
-
Very funny you mention Sanctana. He popped into my Dam 53 vid right as the run ended and I didn't think the run had a shot in hell. I've always considered him a good luck charm since then. Had NO idea that was ExpertGamer, which makes his presence even more remarkable.
Considering how new I am, I never had a proper opportunity to watch Green play in his prime. I would love to see him give it another crack.
Boss and Wouter would be a blast from the past that I would always be down for. Goose and Marc Rutzou were some of my earliest influences and would love to see them stream attempts again, although they would honestly be less likely than the former two.
-
Might add to the list later.
Philip Bezgoubov
One of the better players to join during the twitch era which seems like a great dude. Haven't spoken to Phil personally except for a couple messages on discord, but from watching the Kapaps and his tutorials I think it would be awesome to have him back playing again.
Øyvind Persvik aka Typosaur
Barely spoken to Øyvind and while he's about to decay out of the top100, from what I've seen of old posts he seemed like a cool dude and used to be decently high ranked. I tried making him tune in for Century Club when we released it in March, but I didn't get any response if he watched it or not. I don't expect him to ever play again though. I think he graduated from one of the best universities in Norway so he's probably making bank doing something atm.

Ace's Top 5 Picks, in order of most keen to see come back:
1. T+
+ extremely high on the relevance rankings from 2015 - 2017
+ streams were easily the 2nd best in the-elite with great Pandora Pop playlist & excellent commentary
+ knew how to balance his audio between music, game audio, commentary (something most modern streamers are unable to do)
+ literally where Cake By The Ocean was discovered, which later became one of the two HOTTEST Elite singles in 2016 along with Lush Life
+ part of the original Turncoat Trio and the tier 1 Telegram group that existed from 2015 - 2017
+ healthy casual playthroughs as well (SPM comes to mind)
+ tier 1 Snapchatter
+ name alone is tier 1++
2. Jezz
+ extremely high on the relevance rankings
+ literally a comedian, easily the WILDEST character the-elite has ever seen
+ extremely talented player in both games
+ aussie accent
+ funny stories and best Snapchatter of all time
+ part of the Turncoat Quartet and the tier 1 Telegram group that existed from 2015 - 2017
3. Goose
+ extremely high on the relevance rankings from 2012 - 2018
+ best streams in the-elite bar none, leagues above the second best stream
+ part of the Turncoat Quintet and the tier 1 telegram group that existed from 2015 - 2017
4. dsx
+ extremely high on the relevance rankings from 2015 - 2017, still pretty high
+ great GE player
+ part of the original Turncoat Trio and the tier 1 Telegram group that existed from 2015 - 2017
+ Snapchat pics were very cute
+ top tier casual playthroughs (TTYD, Majora's Mask come to mind)
+ INSANELY good playlist (minus the crappy AC/DC stuff), possibly the 2nd best in the entire elite after T+
5. ragequit
+ high on the relevance rankings, was very high on the list from 2016 - 2017
+ great streams with tier 1 electronica style music
+ good GE player
+ funny dude

Would be nice to have everyone under one roof, honestly.
But my personal answer is Dan Cervone. I always like watching his runs.

Graham Morris, former Top 3 player (last PR in 2005; would be interesting to see how much damage he could do in 2020)
Dan Cervone
Alex Anderson
Tim Greneby (the first Swedish champ)
Derek Clark
Graham Maddocks
Greg Woll
Jim ShadowZero Söderlund
One single PR/WR from any of these players would make my day.

I stumbled into the community right at the end of the Marshmallow/ParagonX9 era. Needless to say, I've wanted to see these two chaps come back for the longest time.
For GE it's easily Wouter.

***ATTENTION***
Word from Adam Dunkmaster is there might be a cheeky stream or 2 soonTM

Simply put his AGDQ runs got me into GE.
Also his music choices were on point with what I was into at the time.
I’m not sure where he peaked on the rankings but always had potential to pull out a crazy run.
-
I know my vote doesn't count but I'll try anyway.
I'll care about your comeback if the world can do something with your number.
1. Can it make me a better Chess player?
2. Can it make me a better SSBM player? (Smash Brothers)
3. Can it make me a better cook?
4. Can it make me better at shooters in general?
5. And even more questions about it crossing over to other games.
No reason for other people to mind if it doesn't actually make you better. If you only care about GE/PD then you'd care more.
