My console needs to stay on for an hour for it not to crash, so I always turn on my console then do something else for a while.

Been getting more into psychology lately - it's interesting to see most of who've voted are TV before Console!

I think purely technically speaking, I generally turn the TV on first, but I voted console because almost always I just leave my console running for weeks on end and turn the TV on and off when I want to play.

Honestly hate answering these polls cos I don't do the same thing every time but generally I turn on OBS/console (in either order) before the TV.

My CRT has one of those giant VIDEO1 things that takes a while to go away, so I turn it on first. When I was using the karaoke machine as a TV, that would take a couple minutes for the v-hold to fix itself, so I would have to turn that on a bit in advance.

I always turn on the TV first and change the input.

For my retrotink setup, my monitor automatically turns on when it gets a signal, so I never do anything.

almost always console first.

sammo - you should be careful with leaving Goldeneye running for days/weeks/months (especially the JAP version) because i've had experiences with levels like Train where there is clearly added lag from the hardware, sound fx cutting out etc.

This is interesting. Because upon reflection, with modern consoles I always turn the console on first and then it's booted up by the time the LCD comes on. With the CRT and my N64, SNES, or NES, it's almost always the CRT first. Maybe that's because (especially with the NES) there is no guarantee it will load the game on the first try and the games load faster than the CRT.

DVR, then CRT, then console. DVR takes too long to spin up.

PC first if streaming.
