I speak Spanish, Valencian and English, in that order.
Valencian is a regional language from the east of Spain, but still a language.
I also know maybe around 200-300 Japanese words and some sentences, but very far from actually talking it at all, so don't even count it.

I am fluent in the Wolfram language.
EDIT: I forgot - I speak jive!
-
sign languages count right? I guess then Marc would be listed as knowing Danish sign language then
I used to know a bit during an American Sign language course I took at college during the summer but I forgot it because I didn't have an interest in it/was bad at it.
Due to my shit hearing, I got an exemption from taking a language in high school, so I only know English.

I know you spent/spend a lot of time in China recently - do you get by with Mandarin or are there any situations where people only speak Catonese/Fuzhounese?

In Guangdong, outside of Shenzhen (where I live), most people speak Cantonese primarily. You still get by with Mandarin in places like Guangzhou, but it feels a bit offensive to speak it. The same goes for whenever I'm in Hong Kong. I spent a few days in Fuzhou last year and had a hard time with the local dialect; nevertheless, as far as I can tell, Fuzhounese is much more similar to Mandarin than Cantonese is to Mandarin. I'm not able to understand a single word of Cantonese. In terms of my abilities, I'm able to communicate most things effectively in Mandarin. I can read up to 1500ish characters, but not write them from scratch (modern-day Chinese people can't either). Listening is hard sometimes because of mumbled or colloquial speech, plus accents on top of speed.
