So when linus restocked on grade a bowls I figured I'd take a chance and pick 2 up to try and make a nice refurbed analog outta oem parts. He sold 100 of them in about 3 days so theres gotta be something to the hype. His custom steel analogs are great for most games except they're to sensitive for GE or PD, but using kitsch bent replacements for the rest, I think itll probably be good. So I took pictures of the process and put one together, I just dont know how to post the pics (havent uploaded pics to a forum since imageshack days). I was actually quite surprised just how nice it played with just a little grease on the moving parts. I payed like 40 per bowl (grade b is 25 each), 2 dollars for the the clear plastic stick and new optical gears, so it wasnt rly that expensive. Anybody intrested in seeing how to do it, it's not rocket science but it's easy to snap a clamp off or the analog wont move when put back together if something slips. Its definitely worth the cost to refurb the oem stick then to use those cheap repair box made in china sticks that you gotta cut pieces off right out of the box just to get it to fit right.
