After over 300 54's, just under half of which where no boost runs on PAL, I finally accomplished Dam Agent 53 with a single boost on NTSC console. I'm so proud of the run, and thank the community for all the courage and support!!!
Thanks to a super-fast initial gate speed, precise lines and an insane boost which I managed to steer into a seemless lock shot, 53 was made by a whisker.
Comparing the two consoles or cartridges, I can't help but get over the gate speed difference on NTSC. I don't know if that's just me.
Also, can anyone recommend a particular 14" crt tv model, that definately works with both PAL and NTSC. I need a smaller one. I'm based in the UK.
After the recent success, I have decided to spend the rest of this year going for Dam Agent 52, which I know is crazy, and requires immense amounts of luck with the three boosts, but I'm willing to give it everything I've got until the year is through!

Most TVs in UK work with NTSC at least in Black and White, just take the console and ask id you can test it first if you see one on facebook marketplace or google the model beforehand

First off, congrats on the 53. There's a few things to keep in mind If you want to go for 52.
1. If you are able to, stream your attempts on twitch. This will allow other players to see your runs and maybe help you with things that you don't notice while in the moment of playing. Not everyone sees the level the exact same, so getting opinions on how to do certain things like the gate lure, the lockshot, etc. will really help you out. If you can't stream, at the very least post videos of some of your better runs so players are able to weed out details and make your runs better overall.
2. As regressive as it sounds to not spend time playing Dam, spend some time playing a skill based level. Some good examples of this are: Archives Agent 16, Facility Agent <50 seconds, or Silo Agent <1:10, just to name a few. Playing these skill based levels forces one to focus on a lot of the smaller details of the run, improving your overall skill and knowledge of how the game functions as a whole. It allows you to be more consistent with your runs. The last thing you want to do when going for a highly luck-based time like 52 is to lack consistency, so building up consistency on skill based levels will also allow you to be more consistent on simple levels like Dam.
3. Just remember that Karl, one of the better players at micro-optimizing whatever he plays, still took 250 hours to get this time over several months. Even playing for 5 hours every day, It would still take almost 2 months to reach that. However, if you get good enough at the level, there's a chance you could discover new optimizations or develop your own consistent style of playing. Don't be afraid to experiment with the level.

I really appreciate the advice and words of encouragement everyone, Thank you! Especially mamel_69 and KfP1995, in addition to the really thorough and detailed explanation of 52 by JDBlack21, it means alot guys!
I have my 53 saved, and stored on my computer. Only thing is with regards to recording software, I was only able to use my HD camera to capture the video, so you can see the scans lines on the NTSC TV.
That looks like the ideal size television, and a fair price to, thanks mamel_69!
Also, again I want to thank you JDBlack for the incredibly helpful advice. First and foremost, I plan on watching the links provided tonight. I will keep you guys updated on any significant strat optimizations I make between now and the end of the year!

Also, JDBlack21, Your advice about playing other skill-based levels is a great idea that had seemingly slipped my mind. Like you say it may seem counter intuitive on the surface, but upping my skill is a great way to go about things I feel!
