Troubleshooting: Is there any list of common reasons for my N64 to no longer be outputting any signal? I was working up until a couple weeks ago. Red light comes on but nada. Tried the two different sets of AV cables (confirmed AV cables still working with GC). We painted the room, but had everything covered in plastic. Fumes impacted something??
At the Spirit Temple, my kids are dying to see the conclusion to OOT.

Does your n64 have a jumper pack or ram expansion? If not, this exact thing you're describing happens. Maybe try reseating the jumper pack if you have one.

Clean the cartridge contacts and the cartridge slot contacts with rubbing alcohol and qtips, also do the same thing with the jumper/expansion pak

This happened to me and it was due to the jumper pak not being seated correctly, like Yendis was saying.

I have had this happen multiple times as well, and it also turned out to be the jumper pak. Even when I cleaned it and it got the n64 to output again, it would still often just crash and reset the console in the middle of playing. It ruined a lot of good runs before I eventually just bought a new jumper pak for like $15 on ebay and haven't had problems since.
