The HOT new Surface 2 00A tricks have opened up the doors for several possible untieds. It seems like the record can go as low as 1:17/1:18 without a nade on a nutty run, but we could potentially see lower than 1:16 with the nade strat for the first camera if anyone dares to take up that degenerate challenge. Regardless, there's a HUGE rush, the likes of which we haven't seen since Cradle 33s, and several people have been on the cusp of breaking the record already.
So what do you think the record will be by the 1st of October? Maybe a remarkable, nadeless 1:18? Maybe a botched nade strat run ends up being 1:18? Maybe someone gets the insane 1:12 with a nade. VOTE, and feel free to add in a comment or two if you want to predict who gets the best time by the end of the month!

I saw Clem get a lot of 1:19 fails last night and even a 1:18 fail. Not sure if he got below that. But 1:18 is definitely on the table.

I think someone will land on 1:19, which will be deemed "decent" and "hard enough to beat" that it'll stay untied and remain there for a few months, maybe even a few years.
The reality will be that, lower is indeed possible and not that difficult in comparison to other untied WRs. But the mental barrier will be hard to "break".

I voted 1:18, but that's only 10 days. I think it's going to be 1:16 or lower by the end of the year.

1:19 is a strong post which everything has to go pretty much spot on by end of month - Someone dedicated every hour to the level till the end of the month then 1:18 because that much more attainable - A 1:17 or 1:18 could definitely be in the cards for that current WR strategy
The real question becomes do you end up going for the grenade in the beginning and doing an R-lean for the FIRST camera (saving 5 seconds? just guessing )...or the THIRD camera which in theory you're executing epic shots far away on the 1st and second cam (shooting from the far wooded area that is a boundary that comes out a bit on the left that leads up to the second cam) and R lean the 3rd cabin cam ( again saving massive time if this hasn't been debunked)....maybe these theories have already been debunked with TAS tested runs and proved invalid - Ive been away from the boards for years

It's been debunked yes, nade unloads if it passes over void.
Voted 1:20 simply due to the fact that the WR hasn't even been tied yet.

I think we’ll see a few 1:20s swiftly followed by the 1:19. Eventually see a fair few of those racked up before 1:18 makes the move. Could be a very different scenario between now and the end of the year, can see a lot changing in this particular level.
Is anyone expecting Almeida to defend his 300 points successfully or is this the point one of our other tied A/SA players makes the 300 for themselves?

JD looked like he could of ended up with a nade - Obviously random however that could easily of saved 1 second had he killed the guard to 4th cam and primed the nade - I know you can't play for this strat however a nade will still lower this WR - Illu's run clearly could of been 1:20 had he warped the last door into the bunker - 1:19 will be a solid WR post with no grenade and so for that reason it receives our vote

Last cam is faster than first cam nade throw? Ive seen a sick R lean that threw a nade a LONG way - First cam with a long nade throw would think would prove to be quicker than a last cam throw - The only issue is you wouldn't find out if the objective was complete till comm cam area - However quitting out at comm cam (if you're not trying to play out the end line) would save someone 15 seconds or so each attempt that a nade was actually farmed to begin with - In saying that I do believe 1:13-1:15 will be achieved with a first cam nade throw
