Chris Gonsalves has achieved a time that is being hoarded until January 16th during the Outer Heaven's year in review. Some suspect it's an untied, others think it could be a sick TWR, or perhaps it's something less astonishing. What do you think it is?

It's like the Speedlore end of year review, but instead of focusing on UWRs etc. it's focused on times achieved by members of the OH (Outer Haven) discord server.
As far as we know Chris G is the only one revealing a time in OH Year in review, but :v

Like flicker said Outer Heaven is a side Discord that has a lot of Eliters in it (mostly newer players). On January 16th, they're going to be doing a "year in review" stream going through times achieved by members of the community that they are proud of. It may include times that aren't for GE/PD, or times which aren't worth points but the player was proud of.
On December 12th, Chris made the following post, announcing that a time will be revealed during the broadcast:

Very interesting, the name "Outer Heaven" gave me some strong "Heaven's Gate" vibes; however, now that we've clarified it is actually "Outer Haven", this seems much less strange.
I look forward to viewing this livestream event.

It could be Runway 21 for all I know, but the most reasonable guess to me would be Statue 00A 2:17. Something about speculating Cradle A 0:32 doesn't feel right, and getting 2:17 on Agent before the other two seems out of the question.
I also had this weird dream where Haycock had posted Cradle A 0:32 and I was apparently talking about it to a coworker over the phone as I saw it. That person is in no way interested in GE speedrunning whatsoever.

Both "Outer Heaven" and "Outer Haven" resonate well with me. The former sounds like a mythical addition to the seven heavens, awe-inspiring even to the gods. The latter like a remote place in Kamchatka, inhabited by just one tenacious lighthouse keeper.

Cradle 0:32 is definitely possible. Chris has been working on making Trev be as fast as possible, not using auto aim and letting the guard stay alive in the hut to get a boost or two. It's still a very insane time, but I'm positive Chris has made it be feasible. Just not sure if that's the special run that will be unhoarded :)

Should probably clear up some of the confusion around the discord name, since this is gaining traction. It is "Outer Heaven" and is a Metal Gear Solid reference, not a Heaven's Gate offshoot.

Just wanted to provide a little bit more information about the End of Year review for OH. First, a bit of clarification about the name of my discord: "Outer Heaven" It, my rankings name (foxdie) and My twitch handle (theterriblechildren) are all references to the Metal Gear Solid series, which I am a pretty big fan of.
As previously mentioned, the broadcast contains runs submitted by members of the discord which they are the most proud of/are the most meaningful to them. It will be on my channel. (twitch.tv/theterriblechildren) It will begin at 10AM Pacific Time/1PM Eastern. It will be hosted by myself and Steve Dudick (Cytosis09). It will be covering runs achieved between June 1 and December 31. (In June, we did a mid-year review covering January through May) We did it this way for a few reasons 1) Early on in 2020 we could tell that one review for the entire year would be a bit much based on the volume of sick runs achieved+the growing membership. 2) A typical typical Jan-June & July-December 2-part review would cut in the middle of League. The runs will be presented chronologically, along with some funny tidbits and commentary from Steve and I inbetween/during the runs. This means that Chris' time, will be near the end, as it was achieved in December. One last little teaser, Chris' run may or may not be the only surprise of the broadcast.

Was going to ask Goose to do a weekly review maybe even if it was a 10 minute review of the week of speed running here - That may be a BIG task for someone however this could be beneficial for him because he can then merge his audience into streaming GE which he planned to do this year

OH has been around a while, Eric has been around a while, they have done the mid year and year end reviews multiple times and gotten decent viewers. I can also say for certain Eric is aware of the Elite's discord, OH is meant as an alternative and tighter knit community, welcoming runners just starting out. Currently the Elite discord has a requirement of 500 points (I'm one of the very few exceptions though I'm not active), the whole point of the thing is to highlight newer runners and tell the stories of OH players getting better.
A lot of the players in the wider community may not really know the people whose runs are showed or care about runs which generally don't end up in year end roundups (Such as the one by Goose for example which focus on the most significant ones to the rankings). It's more about a group of mates hyping one another's achievements than being a big stream.

Currently the Elite discord has a requirement of 500 points (I'm one of the very few exceptions though I'm not active).
Just gonna disperse a few inaccuracies here, firstly the elite discord doesn't have any point requirement to join it, its open to everyone to join. Second, the rule USED to be that you would get an eliter role to give you access to a few more channels at 500 points, this was changed a little over 1 month ago (december 1st, 2020) to be 3 times that are PTR, or 1 time worth points to earn this role (including sufficient quality according to the proof policy to ensure the people are actively interested in the game). Again, the elite discord is open to everyone and there have even been changes made to the server to ensure that new players feel more welcome to the server (moving bot notifications to their own channel so the general channel isn't spammed, pushing chat further away).
Edit: Oh and welcome, newcomer eric! You and cythosis should fit in nicely :nesquik: :nesquik: . Clearly your low post count here means that you don't actually exist as a community member :nesquik:

I stand corrected, fairly positive changes IMO. I also forgot there were some channels open to new players and only some were restricted; I've posted in Discord maybe 3 times with the last being in July so my familiarity with its inner workings is admittedly minimal.

Thanks for your assessment. Yeah, tight as hell, but seems possible. Also THIS (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQIMhBbH2Qg) funny super-rare occurrence or the old Woll shot may open the door to a 32 fluke.

Crazy run OHMSS, can't believe that music was still 0:33. BTW if you watch frame by frame you actually killed trev yourself, pretty sick stuff haha. Maybe it was a shot on trev plus grenade flames rather the drone flames though which would be pretty insane!

Yeah ... I can't tell which one of the explosions (drone or grenade) was the fatal one. Can we even rule out that the exploding grenade was drawn by Trev (and not the guard)?
