So the GE XBLA community has set up a points and time ranking using google sheets (thanks FitterSpace for setting that up)
This game is definitely a more accessible option for people who want to get into speedrunning GE (no need to get capture equipment or an n64 and crt/displaying n64 without delay etc.)

I strongly believe that the rankings should be merged into the elite given the fact this is a (leaked) official release of the game. Separate leader boards yes but still under the banner of the elite.net.

Maybe, since there could be a website in the works, There should just be a link from The-Elite.net to the new rankings page, sort of like they did with Player's Timespages back in the day.

If we're going to accept GE XBLA, we logically need to accept PD XBLA and may as well accept emulator runs on their own rankings as well. At that point we may as well put up PD:Zero, Timesplitters, and other various bond games in proper rankings format. Sounds like a big hassle tbh. The site's main focus has been the rankings on the two games on console, and the historical continuity it gives.
If nothing else, it would require a bunch of volunteers to work hard as proof mods, tinkering with the site itself, etc. It'd be a big commitment by a number of people which myself and seemingly a majority of others frankly wouldn't give a fuck about tbh.

As a moderator of the GE XBLA speedrun.com page, we have no plans for having the times/runs be on the-elite.net
MattyAlanEstock is working on a rankings website that will pull the IL runs from speedrun.com and have features that the-elite.net has like points rankings, WR count, time rankings etc. This is also planned to have support for other IL focused games, as speedrun.com is awful for displaying IL stuff. (https://www.speedrun.com/goldeneye_007xbla/individual_levels shows only the controller WRs for example, we have to use google sheets to have a table of the keyboard/mouse WRs)
I'd definitely add in at https://rankings.the-elite.net/join something like "rankings for the GoldenEye 007 XBLA can be found at https://www.speedrun.com/goldeneye_007xbla" and "rankings for the GoldenEye 007 1964 60 fps emulator can be found at https://www.speedrun.com/ge60fps".

Back in 2010, was it considered much adding the XBLA Perfect Dark on to the rankings as a separate leaderboard? When I first started looking into The Elite I was slightly surprised it hadn't been integrated in some way.
I think if there is some connectivity between the ranking leaderboards for N64 and XBLA it would be good, even if as you say it is just a tab on each site saying 'For the other versions rankings and leaderboards, click here'.
That site they're working on sounds interesting though, will check it out when live.

I never saw it necessary as PDX has leaderboards baked into the game, and it's pretty easy to discern the handful of fake times that are 40 seconds ahead of everybody else.
