Folks, if you've spent any time around Rayan "PerfectAce" I. you've no doubt seen this
(https://i.imgur.com/XsEDL8E.jpg)
It happens quite often nowadays, especially in terms of HOT Super Mario 64 action. Interestingly, more often than not, the runs that get "PRU-ed" seem to die in very quick order after this is posted. This phenomenon is so prevalent that it required an investigation of the highest order in order to save potential runs from being ruined by outside forces.

After a proper and extensive probe into the matter, this board has come up with the only proper conclusion: It's your fault
Explanation: By rushing over to watch the run in question, you are occupying space in the vicinity of the run that was previously vacant, and your matter is inflicting pressure on all the atoms/molecules/etc that are nearby. This is, to the board's surprise, affecting the local RNG of the area of the run. This CHAOTIC energy change is what is causing the runs to pass away. This panel recommends that when you see PRU you RESIST opening the stream in order to protect the integrity of the the run in question.

This board also recommends absolution for Ace, as while his actions were causing indirect interference, there was no evil intention behind them.
Thank you for your time and attention and avoid PRUing the Run (PTR) in the future.

We know from Heisenberg that:
σx* σρ >= h / (4π)
where h is Planck's constant, and σ refers to the uncertainty in measurement of x and ρ, or position and momentum respectively
What this means is essentially that there is an inverse mathematical relationship between these two uncertainties, i.e. as one uncertainty falls the other rises. You might have heard of the idea that "you can't know the position and speed of a particle at the same time", and this is the formula that describes that.
In a speedrunning context, ρ can be understood to represent the pace, while x represents how far the run has progressed. What this means for us is this - as certainty in pace increases, the certainty that the run will finish decreases. Further, by informing other people that a potential run is underway, you are increasing the universal certainty that a good pace run is in progress. As more and more people tune into the stream, the uncertainty about the run's future grows so disproportionately large that it is a statistical improbability that the run will survive.
This relationship explains a lot of questions you might have about speedrunning. Not only is it why so many runs die after "PRU" is posted in the Elite server, but it also explains why so many world records are achieved off stream, or by relative irrels, or on runs that the runner thinks are shit. It also explains why so many records occur at the start of sessions before people have had a chance to join the stream, or at the end after most have left.
For further information I suggest reading The Physical Principles of the Quantum Theory, which should be required reading for all speedrunners.

PTR definitely did not clear the SDES delegates of the board for elite acronyms registration decisions (BEARD) as it conflicts with Pointless Time Record.
This is your second infringement (after Pass The Runway) so kindly desist.
P.s. surely there's something in PRUDENT

I've heard that if you open the run on a tablet, screen, monitor, etc, but (and this part is very important) only look at the run through a mirror or reflective surface, this can prevent influencing the atoms & RNG around the run.
I advise all to do so when clicking on a PRU.

While this is true, according to the Copenhagen Interpretation there is still a calculable chance that the run will succeed (expressed by the normalized wavefunction) even if it is very small, and even after the run has actually died (the run may tunnel through its own presumed death event). However, if you instead subscribe to the Many Worlds Hypothesis we can say that even though from our perspective all PRUs have died immediately after their announcement, they have in fact completed successfully in another set of branched off universes. Some universe had to take the bad fork for each quantum PRU event and we might simply be in the worst universe. In the best universe Ace may be regarded as a hero who has helped many viewers catch a WR they would have ordinarily missed.

Pro Tip. Watch using a two mirror solution and the video will be in the correct orientation, and lower PRUing chance

Ignore this fellow; AceCorp is the Sole Regulator of Elite Based Acronyms & Initialisms (SREBAI) and approves the usage of all acronyms used in the first post of this topic.
